The skin looks amazing. Lux's best skin to date, and definitely needed!

However, it seems something to complete this amazing theme is missing...

Why no new voice/lines?

got a super hero anime-style skin, and I dare say it's one of the greatest skins in the game simply because the new voice work completes the package. He goes over the top and it makes him that much more fun to play with/against!

I think it would be a disservice to deny that same opportunity to perfect a skin and it's theme. Personally, I'd much rather pay for a Legendary skin for this because I think this theme is more than strong enough to support it!

An all new VO package would bump this skin up into other RP pricing tiers. I'm not on the skins team so I can only give my account of what I know. Skins team has a planned schedule of how many skins to release in each of the RP pricing tiers and usually can't stray from that schedule. Adding an entire VO package greatly increase the scope and development time of a skin and thus increases the RP cost.

So the TL;DR it was determined from the beginning that this Lux skin would be in a particular RP range. Does that make sense?

nah they usually get some voice processing but not full on vo.

Nope,only Legendary skins & Ultimate skins get new VOs. 1350s have usual VO with some voice processing if the skin requires it.

Honestly, I'd rather the skin be Legendary tier and have some new VO lines, because with how much work that was already put into the skin, as well as how anticipated this skin was, anything less is kind of disappointing. And really, there isn't any reason not to, beside the fact that Teemo of all champions just got a legendary.

Also, keep in mind that Steel Legion is easily 1350 quality and probably would have been bumped up forever ago had it not be so poorly received.

A lot of us were also hoping that the "2014" ultimate skin was going to Lux as well, and counting Steel Legion as a 1350, the only thing Lux doesn't have is a legendary+ skin.

Would one or two voice lines (say, upon using ultimate) change the price tier of the skin? I know that mafia Jinx had an extra line in there, but was that just because it was a launch skin? If you or someone on the skins team could answer that'd be sweet!

Yeah I'm not entirely sure since I'm not on skin's team but it would make sense if Jinx's launch skin had separate lines because launch skins are started during champ development so a request like that could be made while recording a Champions script.

Change your minds, it really needs a new VO to fulfill the sell.

Different strokes for different folks. Sounds actually turn me off certain skins- I'll never purchase Arcade MF, for example, because the sound bytes are annoying to me.

I like SG Lux as is. The effects are perfect for me, as is the price.

It makes sense, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. =P

I just wanted to voice my hopes that this skin could have gone the extra mile. Honestly, the extra price and dev time don't bother me. I would happily wait and pay more to see this skin at it's full potential.

...but even if it doesn't happen, I'm still happy Lux is getting such an amazing skin. =)

I would pay a lot more if they kept this in PBE and worked on stuff like that. And I'm a frikn Lux main that nearly blew up in kawaii love when i first saw it.

Rumble's was a legenadry 1820 tier, Lux is only a 1350 tier... there's never new audio for those.

I don't know if someone asked this yet or not ,but when is the approximate release date? I'm just way to excited for this skin (as a Sailor Moon fan).
