Laucher noise

You make it sound like you're asking "why is the sky blue? Give us the option to turn it green"

... And you make it sound like you can't read.

Riot added a stupid sound to the launcher when it is done patching and when you press launch. This happened in the last major patch.

It is annoying, has no options to change volume or on/off settings.. and is a completely unnecessary addition that does 100% nothing for the game.

Not sure how asking for it to be removed or to have settings implemented for it is asking for the sky to be green. But hey.. reading comprehension is hard. I get it.

It's for when you are patching the game, and you don't want to stare at the patcher the whole time or check it every 30 minutes to see if it is done. Why is that a problem? Just mute or turn down your computer or don't put headphones in when patching.

Or.. there should just be settings for it.. like there are for all other audio components in a video game. Including LoL's login screen. I shouldn't have to turn off my entire system's sound to avoid a shitty sound that isn't necessary.

And if your system/connection takes so long that you check back in every 30 minutes while patching LoL.. you got bigger problems than needing to be notified when it is done patching.

It's just one sound, and then done, not gonna be involve into the game at all. How is this annoying? At least it benefits me better to know when ym patching is done whenever I went to watch Youtube or Facebooking.

Do you know what's more annoying than just a simple "Play Ping"? People who constantly spam pings in-game til it hurts our ears. And do you know what's useless? Summoner icons. It makes you look pretty, that's it. No additional AD or AP given in game at all.

WOW, you're actually comparing the log-in sound with the Launch sound? You serious?

First of all, the sound disable on the log in page is just for the music that lasts for like 5 minutes plus, comparing to a simple 0.5 Launch sound ping. The sound where it leads from "Authentication success" to "Logging in" is still there, and you don't get annoyed by this sound. -_-

Sorry, I prefer the better clarity of the new Launch audio, and I'm pretty sure Riot isn't gonna make a sound settings for a Patcher just for that two simple 0.5s ping sounds. It's just a little outrageous (not being fking ). Either your ears are too sensitive, or stop wearing headsets/earsets and listen to speakers.

Just to necro this for fun since you were so clearly wrong. They added in the option to turn that sound off.

It really isn't that hard to understand that if there is a sound in a program, that the user should be able to control that sound without turning off their speakers. It is just good design.
