Champion Concept: Carnae, The Elemental Weaponmaster
Hello all, I recently came up with a sweet idea for a champion, Carnae (karn-A), The Elemental Weaponmaster, and I'm here to see what you guys think about the champion concept. I will draw up and post some concept art soon. Now lets get into it!
Okay so Carnae is a fighter style champion, similar to Mordekaiser as he will scale off of both AD and AP. The idea of him is that each of his abilities will wield him with a different weapon, each with their own unique effects, which will give this champion a lot of versatility and be enjoyed for the underskilled and higher skilled players by allowing them to make amazing plays or simply just smash things in the face with an aqua hammer!
Abilities: Wielder of the Elements(Passive) - Carnae has mastered the elements and how to wield them as weapons, causing him to gain Attack Damage equal to (15%AP) if his Ability Power or Carnae gains Ability Power equal to (40%AD) if his Attack Damage, whichever stat is lower. This bonus cannot cause the other stat to be higher than the greater stat. (Complex, I know, it's hard to explain in words, I'm no professional.)
Flame Whip(Q) - Carnae lashes out a whip of fire, dealing 10/20/30/40/50 (+30%AD)(+40%AP) magic damage to enemies in a line and stops at the first enemy champion hit. This equips Carnae with the Flame Whip. While wielding the Flame Whip, Carnae gains 100 attack range. In addition, every third attack on the same target deals and additional 1/2/3/4/5% of their current health in magic damage. (15 second cooldown, does not go on cooldown until Carnae uses another ability)
Stone Claws(W) - Carnae dashes in a direction, enemies that he passes through take 15/30/45/60/75 (+75%AD)(+20%AP) physical damage and equips him with the Stone Claws. While wielding the Stone Claws, Carnae gains 40% attack speed, and his attacks ignore 15 armor. (15 second cooldown, does not go on cooldown until Carnae uses another ability)
Aqua Hammer(E) - Carnae bashes the enemy target with a maul of water, dealing 40/60/80/100/120 (+60%AP)(+1/2/3/4/5% of targets missing health) magic damage and slows all enemies near the target by 20/25/30/35/50% for 2 seconds and equips Carnae with the Aqua Hammer. While wielding the Aqua Hammer, every third attack on the same target slows the target and nearby enemies by 20% for 2 seconds. (15 second cooldown, does not go on cooldown until Carnae uses another ability)
Elemental Fury(R) - Carnae launches a series of attacks to the closest enemy champion, using each weapon that he has wielded in the past 15 seconds (if all weapons are on cooldown except the one he is currently wielding, he uses all three) dealing 30/40/50% of their initial damage and applying the effects in order of the weapon he used first, second, and last (Calculated by the cooldowns). Carnae dashes to the enemy with each blow. After all of his attacks have been used, Carnae equips the Lightning Blade for 15 seconds, during this time all other abilities are unusable. While wielding the Lightning Blade, Carnae's attacks cause him to dash short distances to the enemy and can reuse this ability once to go into stasis for 1.5 seconds. (150/120/90 second cooldown)
The scaling may seem underpowered or overpowered, but this is just a concept. I took the scaling by assuming how he would be built. Mostly AD being ~250-300 AD, giving him a lot of sustain and about 125AP, allowing him make better use of the initial damage from his abilities. Mostly AP being ~500-600 AP would give him 75-100 AD, which is a good amount to help him sustain after using his burst. Overall, he would be kinda squishy, like Riven squishy, minus her shield and hard cc, so he would be quite item dependent, making these numbers only important if he does well.
I prefer criticism on the champion and abilities themselves rather than the scaling and stuff that would clearly be tweaked if ever brought to the game.
