[Champion Concept] A failed experiment involving a magic swordsman wielding paradox-themed magic
Background: A lieutenant of Noxus had been entrusted with a regiment of noxian veterans for a highly classified experiment. He "hires" mages of various schools of magic and thought that by infusing the veterans with wild magic and inserting magical trinkets into their flesh, their mind would open to the potential of magic. However, the potential that he sought was nothing but an illusion, as he soon found out that very few mortal minds can withstand magic. Some of the soldiers turned mad, speaking nonsense and scratching away at their flesh. Others started bleeding from their eyes and every pore in their body, becoming a dehydrated husk. After the last veteran turned out to also be a failure, the lieutenant became desperate. He knew he had to bring results, or face the consequences of his actions. When the deadline came and noxian guards were sent after the lieutenant, they found various symbols carved into his skin as his pulseless body lied on the floor. The guards report back to Swain that the mad lieutenant failed in his mission and decided to share the same fate as that of his soldiers. However, as the magic inside his dead body began to resonate with his lust for power, his insanity was given physical form.
Paradox Magic: INNATE: The lieutenant gains 10 - 14 - 18 magic resistance for each debuff or CC on himself and each visible enemy champion nearby. Effect radius - 1400.
Frostfire: Q - Active: The next 3 basic attacks become ranged and gain bonus effects. His basic attack range becomes 600 and sends out vertical waves of blue fire that pass through units, dealing bonus magic damage and slowing them for 3 seconds. If all 3 attacks hit an enemy champion, the target becomes frozen, stunning the target for 1 second.
(Personal Notes: Q is your bread and butter, the ability you should always level up first. Cooldown should begin after you activate the ability, not after you make all 3 attacks. The waves should act as an on-hit ranged basic attack to every enemy hit, and not as an ability.)
Soothing Backlash: W - Active: The lieutenant deals magical damage and cleanses himself and all nearby enemies, removing all crowd control affecting them and healing himself for each crowd control removed this way.
(Personal Notes: The AoE should be slightly bigger than Karthus's Defile (E). The heal should be increased by a %AP scale based on how many CC's it removed. This way you can gain a massive, potentially full HP heal if you choose to sacrifice the CC you applied on enemy champions.)
Cowardly Resolution: E - Passive: When the lieutenant or a visible nearby enemy champion's health drops below 40% of their maximum health, target gains a shield and will start to flee for 1 second, during which they have a static 100 movement speed. Active: While below 40% maximum health, the lieutenant gains bonus movement speed for the next 4 seconds when moving towards the enemy fountain. While above 40% maximum health, the lieutenant gains bonus movement speed for the next 4 second when moving towards the allied fountain.
(Personal Notes: The passive will always trigger on yourself and your victims unless they stealth away, giving a 1 second shield and 1 second fear, on a 7 second cooldown for each individual target. This can be positive as well as negative, but you have tools like your W to help reap mostly benefits from this ability. So it doesn't matter if the enemy laner you're facing has 0 CC, this will still offer ways to boost your W healing. )
Progressive Setback: R - Active: The lieutenant targets a nearby enemy champions and channels for 1.5 seconds. Upon completing it successfully, the target gains bonus attack damage and ability power for 5 seconds. While the buff lasts, all damage dealt to the lieutenant is instead dealt to the target enemy champion. Suffering immobilizing crowd control effects while Progressive Setback is channeling cancels it.
(Personal Notes: A high-risk high-reward point&click ultimate that can be canceled by the enemy. It basically grants 5 second of immortality as long as the target stays alive, kind of like the old poppy ult but less obnoxious, and a higher reward since you can towerdive anyone and all damage dealt to you from towers or other sources gets redirected towards your target. Here is where your E passive becomes a massive downside because ALL champions can CC you out of your ult if they drop you to 40% HP, or kill you if you are already under 40% HP. )
