Changing the concept of items in League
For the most part this concept has bothered me for quite a long time, namely, that how exactly do champions use the items they buy. For the support items its understandable, because they are like trinkets, but what would someone like Caitlyn do with an infinity edge? Attach it to her gun? Or the idea that buying five swords would help at all? This is becoming a bit of a problem as more and more champions are using firearms and some form of hex tech now.
Instead what I propose is to change the concept of the items so that what the champions are buying isn't the actual weapon itself but the essence of the weapon. Like instead of Blade of the Ruined King, it could be changed into something like, "Hatred of the Ruined King" and that the basic components could be like basic emotions like how instead of two longswords making a brutalizer, it could instead be changed to two "spites" can make one "essence of brutality".
Like I said earlier, you don't have to overhaul the current names and concept, just tone down the weapon aspect of it.
