[Champion Rework] Taric, the Gem Knight
Passive: Gemcraft After using an ability, Taric's next basic attack deals bonus magic damage equal to 20% of his armor and reduces his abilities' cooldown by 2 seconds. Detail: unchanged
Q: Imbue Active: Taric places an opal on the ground that heals for 20/30/40/50/60 (+8% AP) (+1% bonus health) per second for 5 seconds to the two most injured allied champions. This heal is 40% more effective on Taric. The opal has two hit points, can be destroyed by enemy champions and will automatically disappear after 5 seconds. Range: 600 Mana Cost: 50/70/90/110/130 Cooldown: 18/17/16/15/14 Detail: Instead of a point and heal mechanism, Taric now places an opal that heals 2 champions and also provides counter play as it can be destroyed. The opal however still does increased healing towards Taric.
W: Shatter Passive: Taric’s shield is covered with sapphires giving 12% of his total armor as bonus armor to him and nearby allied champions within 500 range. Active: Taric shatters the sapphires from his shield dealing 50/90/130/170/210 (+20% armor) magic damage to enemies in 250 units of him and slows them by 15/20/25/30/35% for 2 seconds. When activated, the passive aura is lost and Taric will regain it after 3 seconds. Mana Cost: 50 Cooldown: 10 seconds Detail: The passive is pretty much the same as before. The active's base damage is slightly increased and now applies a slow.
E: Dazzle Active: Taric uses his hammer to emit an emerald light in a 60° cone that deals damage and stuns enemy champions. The light deals increased damage based on the enemies proximity to Taric with a minimum damage of 40/80/120/160/200 (+40% AP) magic damage and a maximum of 80/160/240/320/400 (+40% AP) magic damage. The stun duration also varies depending on the enemies distance from Taric with a minimum of 0.45/0.5/0.55/0.6/0.65 sec to a maximum of 1.4/1.45/1.5/1.55/1.6 seconds. Range: 500 Mana Cost: 75 Cooldown: 18/17/16/15/14 seconds Detail: I liked the concept of increased damage based on proximity on his previous E and I think it is one of the aspects that makes Taric unique. Instead of a targeted cc, Taric now has the ability to stun more than one champion with a duration depending on their proximity.
R: Radiance Active: Taric slams the ground with his hammer dealing 150/200/250 (+50% AP) magic damage to all enemies and lowers their armor by 15/20/25% for 5 seconds. If radiance is cast on an opal, the opal is destroyed and grants its healing to all allied champions within 600 units. If radiance is cast on enemy champions that are slowed by shatter, radiance will reduce the damage done by these champions by 10% for 3 seconds. If radiance is cast on enemy units that have been stunned by Dazzle, the damage of radiance is increased by 50%. Range: 200 Mana cost: 100 Cooldown: 90/80/70 seconds Detail: Instead of giving a flat AD and AP bonus, Taric shred armor of affected targets as well as other effects depending on his other abilities previously used. He can use radiance on a preplaced opal to provide a burst of AoE heal which is beneficial during team fights. The damage reduction for the shatter enhancement is also good for peeling high damage enemies from the AD carry. Lastly, the increased damage on his ult by the dazzle enhancement allows Taric to deal moderate damage which is essential for his fighter.
