Court Priest Staldts

Staldts's role is an enchanter support. He has meager damage and not too much beef, but as his method of interaction requires him to get in there! he's quite risky in large-scale fights, but his specialty is threat-detaining. Focused on peeling via displacement and continuous damage that discourages enemies from all-inning.

Staldts is generally a grumpy old man, as well as a zealot and fierce patriot for Demacia. Can't really think of anything grand to say about his feats or construct a story other than he is very skilled in other forms of light magic, dissimilar from Lux but still drawing from light.

Gameplay

Strictly a support, and his abilities make sure he does not have too much sustain nor damage to stand on his own in lane. He may be burly, but old is old.

Passive: Revealing Light Staldts's basic attacks grant true vision on targets he hits with basic attacks only for 5 seconds. Approaching an invisible unit will reveal it for 0.5 seconds, tripled if it is a champion. The stealth-revealing portion of this passive goes on cooldown for 45 seconds afterwards.

Basic attacking allied units gives both Staldts and his target a small amount of increased vision range.

What purpose does Revealing Light serve? To counter enemies with stealth mechanics, as well as notify Staldts and his team if they are beig watched. The very short duration of the ward reveal makes it so three allies would have to target the ward to destroy it in time, and that Staldts, even with his lane partner, cannot just clear any ward. It also combos with his E!

Q: Awestrike/Slap Mana Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 Slap costs no Mana. Cooldown: 10 seconds after Awestrike dissipates. Awestrike, on its initial cast, Staldts will lob his staff, travelling in a straight 750 unit line. The staff will spin in a 200 unit circle as it travels. While it travels, Staldts's basic attacks have 50 lower range, as he is limited to backhanding enemies. Awestrike will do 60/65/70/75/80 magic damage, along with 40% of his total ability power. It will travel back after reaching its limit to the original throwing position. Upon reaching that point, Awestrike will dissipate. After casting Awestrike, Staldts has access to Slap. Slap has no mana cost, and has a 0.5 second cast time, that causes Staldts to strike in a 125 unit semicircle, dealing 20 true damage, scaling with nothing, to all enemy units in that semicircle. This 20 true damage does not increase with level. Casting Slap on a travelling Awestrike will cause it to fly the same range and do the same damage, and placing Slap on a 0.25 second cooldown. After two consecutive successful Slaps on Awestrike will dissipate, and be put under its ten secomd cooldown.

What is the purpose of Awestrike? Awestrike allows Staldts to trade without using large amounts of mana or using all spells in his kit, making him sufficient at level 1 without giving him CC or power to basic attacks. Awestrike can be used 3 times if executed perfectly, and Slap can add versatility to Awestrike by firing Awestrike in a different angle. A poke ability with a built in combo, but nothing as much to be a level-one wombo combo.

W: Heavenly Caress Mana Cost: 100 _Cooldown: 16/15.75/15.50/15.25/15.0 seconds. Heavenly Caress roots Staldts for 1.5 seconds, and cannot be canceled. After the delay, a 650 unit circle will be awash with light, blinding enemies for 2 seconds and stunning enemies in a 125 unit circle around Staldts for 1 second. Enemy units caught in the rays are dealt 65/85/110/135/160 magic damage plus 10% of total of Staldt's ability power. Allies caught in the rays are healed over seven seconds by this exact value, and the healing ceases if they do not remain in the zone of light created.

Damages enemies instantaneously but heals allies over time.

Brush conceals this ability.

What purpose does Heavenly Caress serve? If you take this at level one, you will feed. A 1.5 root that Staldts cannot cancel is a death sentence if Staldts uses it at the wrong time, for example, when his allies want to back up, when someone with a silence or ranged hard CC is around, etc. However, it gets the job done when everyone is coordinated, or no one knows he's doing it. Think of it like a nerfed Nunu ult that heals.

E: Tough Love Mana Cost: 50 Cooldown: 15 seconds Tough Love causes Staldts to be inable to do damage to any unit with basic attacks, but still apply Revealing Light to them on-hit. This five second debuff cannot be canceled. During this time, Staldts can basic attack allies, but cannot apply on-hit effects. Basic-attacking allies will heal them for 90% base attack damage, 10% bonus attack damage, 10% ability power, and 8% of their bonus health. While Tough Love is active, Staldts gains 50% attack speed, but this attack speed buff is removed if he already has 50% bonus attack speed. An ally cannot be struck for more than 100/125/175/200/250 health. This cap is increased by 5% of his ability power, and 10% of his bonus attack damage, as well as 0.5/1.0/1.5/2.0/2.5% of his maximum health.

What is the purpose of Tough Love? A powerfully unique method of healing with caps, so cheesing with Lethal Tempo to regenerate your one health bronze Vayne to full is impossible, but it still scales flexibly to allow for unique builds.

Ultimate Ability: Excommunication Mana Cost: 150/135/120 Cooldown: 120 seconds

Excommunication causes Staldts to swat his book in a slim curved skillshot for 250 units. The first enemy champion hit is knocked back 400 units and stasised for 3 seconds. This knockback cannot traverse walls on the map or made by allies, but can penetrate enemy-created terrain. Excommunication does 100/125/150 magic damage to all it hits, and is increased by 25% of current ability power. If the first enemy champion hit is killed by the initial cast, their corpse will fly for 250 more units and Excommunicate who it collides with, and knocking them back for only 200 units.

When Excommunication hits a travelling Awestrike instead of Slap, it will travel twice as fast and do Awestrike's damage while Excommunicating the first enemy champion hit, and doing Excommunicate's damage.

What is the purpose of Excommunicate? To remove threats from a fight, to disengage, or to keep a pesky assassin from diving. To be used with caution, as stasis could save an enemy's life.
