Post Rework Fiora's W Riposte brings into question the definition of hard CC.

This is my first post on LoL forums so please hold back if you feel the need to be disrespectful in the comments. Anyway I found this thread (http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=2625518 ) that defines Hard CC from Soft CC, and most people agreed with it. The Hard CC is defined as "Any ability that can interrupt/stop an opponents channeled ability, AND remove control of the players movement." I looked at the New Riposte ability demonstration of Post-Rework Fiora on the on this ( http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/champions-skins/champion-update/champion-update-fiora ) and It says that if Riposte blocks any "hard cc" then it will stun instead of slow. In the video demonstration they use Morgana bind as the example of hard CC. But morgana bind does not stop a Katarina ultimate, or most other channeled abilities from my experience. Therefore I am still uncertain of what hard CC is. So if this definition of hard CC is wrong then The true definition of "Hard CC" is still under question. As to my knowledge hard CC is the following: any sort of displacement (knockups, knockbacks, flings (Singed and Volibear), other displacements ect.) Anything that makes you have complete loss of movement control, (fears, taunts, charms, stuns, suppressions, binds, snares, pulls/grabs (Nautilus, Thresh, Blitzcrank). Basically hard CC is anything that controls your movement. So whether it stops your movement or forces you to move it is hard cc. If you are questioning knockups, they stop your movement, regardless of the "up". What I am unsure about is blinds and silences. They don't fit under what I defined as hard cc but I still feel as though they are. Maybe its just me. This is just my opinion and your opinion may be completely contradicting, still I ask that you be respectful. Thanks for reading. Constructive criticism and comments are always appriciated.

Blinds and Silences are typically what people refer to as soft CC. They don't shut you down completely, but they do limit your output.

The in-game tooltip for the new Riposte says " If Fiora parries at least one immobilizing effect" Meaning anything from roots to suppressions, which is what I always understood to be the definition of a "hard CC." Anything that can immobilize you.

I have always used hard CC as an expression for CC that removes all control over the target (stuns, knockup/knockbacks, charms, fears, taunts, suppressions). By that definition, binds would not be hard CC, and since it says "If Fiora parries at least one immobilizing effect" instead of "If Fiora parries at least one hard CC", i suppose they just made a small mistake in the official rework page.

PS: Using paragraphs makes your post much more readable.

Ok, thank you for clearing things up. At the time of creating this thread it did say "hard cc" but It appears to have been updated. Thankyou. I do have 1 more question. Would fiora's W riposte negate the blindness effect if the blind spell was cast in the time frame of the parry? Alomg with other soft cc.
