Not sure if you made this thread knowing the development connection between Jhin and Kindred, but fyi
During development Jhin used to be called something like a Cyborg Cowboy or something, which was prototyped visually almost identical as his High Noon Jhin skin. During then, the champ that would become Jhin had a kit that reportedly played around hunting enemy champion for bounties and certain gameplay development around it, but it was eventually abandoned; it was changed in favour of the 4-shot mechanics, which became the new design basis for his gameplay and thematic character. The champion receives a new gameplay identity and formulated to become the Jhin we now know, and the old visual design of Cyborg Cowboy is recycled to become his HIgh Noon skin.
The abandoned kit of Jhin during his development, was later picked up and eventually recycled and integrated into Kindred during their development, most notably the passive component.
Jhin and Kindred share the same development root, and thus when I saw this thread I was slightly intrigued.
........
That said, a few things:
- The symbol of death is ALWAYS the entity of 2 that function as 1, as the 1 who split themselves into 2; the Lamb AND the Wolf. So keeping Wolf as even less than the glorified particle effect on the Kindred is sort of an even bigger slap in the face for Wolf. He deserves better, I believe.
- Kindred is not exclusive to Demacia. In fact, no one apart from the people who almost died, and I guess those who're already dead, has ever seen them. So I'd wager most people don't have much idea about Kindred beyond a very superficial and abstract understanding of them. Thus I wouldn't call this skin "Demacian Jhin" per se.
