Current Ideas
[Useless background information as to why I have this post] I was watching some random LoL videos that popped up as recommended while I was on YouTube, and one of them happened to be the Creative Collaboration: Making League of Legends Champions. Then I had this sudden feeling of wanting to be creative; basically, I found an excuse to procrastinate. Anyways, I was thinking about all the champions that already exist, and every time I thought of something there was always an item or skin or an existing champion that makes my idea seem repetitive, unoriginal, etc. So, I thought I'd just talk a little about something I had thought of.
Also, I understand that the champions have lore and fit into categories and background stories, like Demacia and stuff, but I based this off of whatever flew into my mind so bare with it all.
##The first champion idea hailed from me remembering about Skarner. He's one of the only champions who basically interact directly with the rift, with his crystals and all (another would be Kindred, but hers is based more on jungle camps). Then that got me thinking, there's already tons of champions who already are element-based like Annie with fire, Ivern with nature, and Nami with her water, but what if there was a champion who took on forms, like Nidalee, but their shift can boost an ability (or something I'm not really sure) and rather than being OP and casually shifting every time the champion is on a different terrain (the river versus lane/jungle, and even base), there's an actual decent amount of CD, like a minute or two and its acquirable at level three, not level one like most shifting champions (Jayce or Nidalee). To get a little specific, these shifts would include, say, a movement speed increase in the river when you shift to the water form, or a damage increase to jungle camps when in a more nature-istic form. And back when I mentioned the base, there could be a form that increases damage (but maybe lowers speed as a "pre-decided nerf") as a way to defend the Nexus or the remaining turrets. This is an iffy one though, because I'm sure all of us are aware of how game-changing an ability boost could be when it comes to defending the Nexus or trying to get to the Nexus first (I will say, this was not the video I wanted to link because there was one I recall where two streamers were battling it out during a soloQ game to destroy the other's Nexus first but I couldn't find it so here you go). Basically, this champion that "moves with the rift" is probably one of the champions that are suitable for team fights in designated areas in the map, deep in the jungle, in a base, battling for epic monster, etc. I mean, a champion that steals ultimates was created so honestly I genuinely feel like this isn't too shabby of an idea.
The second champion idea came when I was thinking about Gragas.
If a champion like him can exist with his swigs and barrels, then why not a female champion brew-master as well? Now, I have no idea what could be brought about with this, I simply had the "equal representation" mindset for some odd reason and now I would love to build upon that.
By no means are women more sophisticated drinkers than men, but I will say it is a common stereotype that we can slowly stem from because I simply don't want to just copy what Gragas already is. Rather than lugging around a gigantic barrel, this champion would most likely be carrying a fancy wine bottle or a couple of shot glasses. We can also base that sophistication into a bartender-like form, and can even somehow connect this champion to Gragas, say, at a bar somewhere and she assists or wants to partake in his journey to find the perfect swig (I don't know, like I mentioned, I don't pay attention to the stories much). She could be a support champion, and one of her skills can be like Soraka's, where she heals through her shots. Maybe, her Q, W and E can be three different types of shots like Sona has three different abilities for her Q, W and E and they all affect their allies, except this alcoholic champion can basically cause the opponents to be drunk, or slightly woozy. She might not be a support, maybe a mid-laner with huge CC. Her ultimate could be her skills having a combination (like an actual bartender mixing drinks to create special brews), say, pressing R causes her to be able to press Q and W or Q and E together to create some wack ability boost or maybe a CC attack that stuns the enemy. Instead of mana, her bar would instead be like, a dishwasher or something, she has 10 shot glasses to work with and her skills each require 1 shot glass (of course, her ultimate being 2) and maybe her passive is some sort of stand-still or minion thing, I'm not really sure, just something that either "cleans her glasses" faster.
######The only reason why I actually got a little more specific with skills on this one was because I had ideas to build off from, unlike my first one where it was like a combination of Skarner and Jayce or something again not really sure and I had absolutely no clue as to what I was saying because it was an idea that hasn't really been seen at all in any way, shape, or form.
##The third idea is the addition of another Elixir.
We already have pots, elixirs, and the numerous potions available from Kleptomancy, but with the not really new addition to showing the bounty for certain champions, I was thinking while watching BoxBox's stream from 03/06/2019 that, if some champions - like Lux - are so difficult to shut down (and even after a 1k shutdown, they still have a >500 bounty) then there might be some sort of elixir that creates "Envy" and enables champions to have temporary increased damage but its affects scale based on bounty of a champion, and the summoner must select the opposing champion to have this "Envy" and if that champion gets a shut down then it scales to either the new bounty or it gives temporary increase in shield/armor if the summoner has a bounty of their own (but if they don't, then its basically got no uses, unless you magical beings can think of one). It would most definitely have a price of around 300 or even 500 gold mainly because of how OP it could become, and there could even be more details for the scaling and base increase (I'm one of the players who pay almost no attention to the numbers so don't trust me with trying to add fancy numbers).
That's basically it, my creativity ends there.
