(Champion Concept) Elan, the First Killer

This is just a redo on an old champion concept I posted on the old boards. He was a mixture of a support in lane and assassin in the jungle, and wasn't that good tbh.

I went back and decided to try again, focusing more on a Support Marksman character to see if it can be done. So here goes.

Name: Elan, the First Killer. (Pronounced Eel-on).

Intended Role: Support. Secondary Role: Marksman.
His gimmick is to be a marksman that supports people. However I suppose he could be an ADC if he wanted to.

Statistics. Subject to change. Attack Power: 6. Can be rather hurty if played right. Defense Power: 5. **Quite squishy, but good at staying alive if the player is careful. ** Ability Power: 1. In terms of magical damage, he lacks it. Difficulty: 7. **Not sure about this. Pending. **

Health: 465 (+63). Health Regen: 4.0 (+0.77). Mana: 320 (+40). Mana Regen: 5.5 (+0.63). Range: 575 (Ranged). Attack Damage: 48 (+3.5). Armor: 19 (+1.6). Magic Resistance: 30 (+0). Attack Speed: 0.683 (+2%). Move Speed: 350. **Highly subject to change. I'm not giving this too much thought atm, but I gave him somewhat high attack damage growth as I see him poking quite a lot. **

Backstory So long as life has existed, it has been one that revolves around a perpetual cycle of killing. When the first protoplasmic being absorbed one another, it beget a chain of events that would be echoed across time. The world is one of violence, anger, and negativity. Positive thought and happiness simply come as accessories made custom by man, for in base form, killing begets everything. Long ago, in a time that archaeologists vaguely refer to as the Bright Time, life on Valoran began to stir curious thoughts. Before the encroachment of the void, before the death begat the Kindred, and before the Yordles came from whatever strange land they came from, sentience was birthed. From this sentience came primitives with primitive thought, and of course the cycle of killing continued. From whence the first ant was curiously and playfully squashed, to the long gone Freljordian Mammoth hunted to the brink, to kill other creatures became a necessity of survival. The weak of today glut themselves on Demacian Wine and Piltover Cheese by their warm fireplace, but of those hard and natural times the only warmth came from the belly as it broke down freshly earned meat into a nutritous gruel. But the primitives did something that no other had done. They learned, growing smarter and fiercer. With these adjustments came new thoughts, new discoveries, and one that changed Valoran forever. Of the time known as the First Incident to the creature known as Elan, it does not recall. Eons are hard to remember, as are details, as faces blur like watercolor into the haze of primordial memory. Why it chose to kill another of its kind it doesn't recall either. Perhaps there had been a disagreement, or perhaps it had been curiosity. When the skull of the other primitive drained its fluid onto the grass, Elan tossed the rock it clutched to the side and wondered just what it had done. This action set in motion a pattern to be repeated throughout history. Though killing of one's own kind was not an enigma to the world of killing, to have one so developed as the primitive kill another of its kind was never experienced before.

The soul of the murdered could not rest easy, and so the universe begat the being that in time, became the Kindred. The being came hand in hand with the deed, and so from that point on, death became a complexity. One could no longer simply wake up and stop, it was rooted with insecurities, paranoia, and violence. But as for Elan, he persevered. Why he still remains can be likened to the Primitive biology, differed from the frail and weak men of today. Time went into the past and became a mystery, guesswork for the inquisitive of today. Those times are forgotten, for Elan knows one thing. He was the first to kill another thinker, and he knows best. Elan never stopped after the first. He did it not for reason, like as we do not breathe or think for a reason, and so it perpetuated. Others would copy him and through the ages, the art of killing was birthed. Elan knows that it is his fault, but if he cares, he has expressed no opinion. For what matters is to carry on his goal of killing, and to make sure others do the same. Few know the name of Elan, he remains a quiet and observant figure, fascinated with the artform he created. It is said those who learn his name and whisper it, he will appear. As much a teacher begets knowledge, he begets the art of murder. Only the most secretive and lore-gathering societies know of him, and know his purpose. When you wish to kill another, you simply call upon him. Eventually, if he judges you to be of the mindset of a killer, he shall appear in three days time. However the role of the murder shall be upon the caller, for Elan is simply the teacher. Of course, no good teacher lets their student fail.

**I was inspired by the biblical depictions of Cain, who was a strong influence for this character. Personality wise I see him as patient, quiet, and passionate about his work, but still a killer. He see's the people he supports as his pupils who simply need a shove in the right direction. Mythology wise I also wanted to tie him into Kindred in some fashion. **

Physical Description: I see him as a tall and lanky figure. Near-human, but not quite. His body is wrapped in a large parka of many colorful hues, and his face obscured by shadows, naught but a single gleeming yellow dot peering out to leave imagination up to others.

Passive: Teacher's Hand By right clicking an ally, Elan can merge his spirit with that of another character. When he does this he becomes untargetable as he has physically merged with that character. All damage they take, he takes half of that. If that character dies while he is merged, he dies too. While merged he grants these following statistics +10% Movement Speed and Attack Speed +1.0 Health and Mana Regen +25 Attack Range +5-20% Increased Damage based on Elan's level.

All of his abilities are replaced by this while he is merged. This means he has four casts of it.

Active: Rush Grants a burst of 5% movement speed for 3 seconds. Cost: 25 Mana. Cooldown: 30 seconds.

When Merged Elan cannot attack, and gains EXP at a normal rate. He can end the merging by right clicking the ground.

I wanted an ability that could help not just the ADC but the team as a whole. For example, he could go into jungle and help the jungler gank by spamming Rush.

First Ability: Tracker Ant Elan tosses a small and specially trained ant onto the target enemy. This ability appears to have no animation to the enemy team. The Tracker End will periodically send out blips on the minimap every ten seconds viewable to the allied team, which indicated the target's position three seconds ago. The Tracker Ant can be destroyed by right clicking oneself but cannot be targeted unless true sight is stepped over. The Tracker Ant detonates after 45 seconds on its own, dealing 40/80/120/160/200 Physical Damage (+30% of attack damage). Elan can also manually detonate the ant by reactivating the ability. Mana Cost: 70 Mana. Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12 seconds.

**I like the ability quite a lot because of the utility it brings, as well as being a potential source of damage if Elan doesn't want to go support. It makes the team think about investing in Pinks to make sure they aren't bugged at all times **

Second Ability: Hush This ability is a toggle that drains mana. When cast on oneself, it inflicts permanent stealth so long as Elan has the mana to keep it up. Breaking stealth does not give Elan any benefits, and neither does being in stealth. He can cast Hush on an ally and himself at the same time as well, but it only lasts a maximum of ten seconds and drains mana twice as fast. Mana Regen is disabled while Hush is active. Elan can cast Tracker Ant without breaking stealth. Cooldown: 20 seconds. Mana Cost: 5 + 1% of Maximum Mana per second.

Stealth can be OP if not balanced correctly, so I decided to simply make it stealth without benefits like Twitch's old Q

Third Ability: Tactical EMP/Stun Grenade This ability causes Elan to toss out a rapidly spinning EMP canister onto the ground that lasts for upwards of twelve seconds or until it is attacked twice. The Canister increases the Vision Radius of all allies by 500 and reveals stealthed enemy units for 4/5/6/7/8 seconds, while also shocking for 10 (+10% of attack damage) physical damage per second for the duration in a very large radius around itself. If targeted on an enemy, the ability changes to Stun Grenade, which is a skillshot stun akin in a way to Lucian's Q that throws an exploding canister to stun the target for 1.6/1.7/1.8/1.9/2.0 seconds and deal 100/120/140/160/180 (+50% per attack damage) physical damage instead. If the enemy is alone with no allies in sight, the stun duration doubles. Cost: 60 Mana. Cooldown: 12 seconds.

I had to think hard about this one and I'm still unsatisfied with it. I'll take opinions about what to do with it.

Ultimate: Assassination An extremely simple yet powerful ultimate which buffs an ally to cause their next instance of Non-DoT damage to deal double damage. Mana Cost: 150. Cooldown: 180/160/140 seconds.

**Simple yet effective. Long cooldown because of potential power when used with someone like Caitlyn, Ezreal, Veigar, Karthus, etc. **

I await input. I haven't made a champion concept in years and I'm quite rusty.
