Roe, the Blazing Paladin
When fish folk and fire come together you get Roe, a salmon-like champion (can go on land because magical world). Roe dwells near the coast of Bilgewater, infamous for stirring up trouble and burning down ships with his flame lance and fire magic, whether for food or wealth. This is not entirely all for selfish reasons, for he also gives what is leftover to those that are poor or those that are hungry, though a selfish thief, he is one that has a slight noble cause to him and a heart.
When he wants to travel long distances on land, or needs to quickly get back to the sea, he relies on his partner Echo which she is a large, and flightless, bird that can run at extreme speeds. Though not a fighter, nor does she like fighting, will run and hide to safety if conflict happens, will still be loyal to Roe for when he needs her - likewise Roe is very good to his bird companion and ensures no harm will come to her.
Roe has a very unique mechanic, he cannot recall, instead he will channel for a short duration to ride on Echo, his bird companion, indefinitely at extreme speeds, but taking any damage, attacking, or using abilities will dismount them. This let's Roe to quickly get back to base, though may be slower than recalling based on where they were, it also allows them to get back to the action a lot faster as well.
Roe can have three different play styles between an assassin, mage, or tank varying on the play style and his build, assassin is mostly stemming from his ability to flank the enemy backline thanks to Echo's mobility and disrupt them. Roe plays like a long range melee champion, ranged champion at times, and as a mid-ranged mage.
Attack Range: 250 / 650 units Movement: 325 units per second Attack Speed: 0.625 +4% per level Attack Damage: Moderate to High
Clarification: Flame Lance damage is the damage of his attacks, it is NOT bonus damage.
Flame Lance (Passive):
Roe's attacks burn his target for (+180%AD)(+60%AP) magic damage over 3 seconds, non-champions are dealt (+100%AD) bonus physical damage instantly. If Roe has not attack in the last 3 seconds, then his next attack summons a fireball at his target, gaining 400 bonus range and applying grievous wounds to his target for 3 seconds.
Roe's attacks cannot critically strike.
Echo, the bird companion: Roe cannot Recall, instead it is replaced with Summon: Echo, allowing him to channel in place for 1.5 seconds and then mount himself on her indefinitely, dismounting upon taking damage, attacking, or casting abilities. While mounted, Roe gains 200% increased total movement speed.
Fire Jab (Q):
Cooldown: 5/4.25/3.5/2.75/2 seconds; Cost: 35/40/45/50/55 mana; Range: 900 units
Roe stabs his lance in the target direction and unleashing a stream of fire, dealing 50/65/80/95/110(+40%AP) magic damage to struck enemies, dealing double damage against burning enemies. Enemies struck by the lance, within 300 range, are dealt 30/45/60/75/90(+20%AP) bonus true damage.
Burning Sails (W):
Cooldown: 10 seconds; Cost: 75/80/85/90/95 mana; Range: 700 units / 60 degrees
Roe unleashes a cone of flames in the target direction, burning enemies for 2 seconds, dealing 80/120/160/200/240(+80%AP) magic damage over the duration, double damage against shields, and grounding.
Noble Thief (E):
Cooldown: 8 seconds; Cost: 65/75/85/95/105 mana; Range: 700 units
Passive: Roe gains 80/85/90/95/100% increased gold whenever he acquires gold from minions and champions, but he only gains 60% of the gold value, storing the other 40%.
Active: Roe chucks a coin at the target champion, ally or enemy.
Enemy Cast: Dealing 40/70/100/130/160(+70%AP) magic damage plus gold stored, up to 80/120/160/200/240 bonus magic damage based on consumed gold. Roe heals for 50% of the pre-mitigated damage dealt.
Ally Cast: Healing for 30/55/80/105/130(+65%AP) health plus granting 80% of the consumed gold as additional healing and the other 20% as bonus gold, up to a total of 80/120/160/200/240 stored gold consumed. Cannot self-cast.
Blazing Sunset (R):
Cooldown: 140/110/80 seconds; Cost: 100 mana; Range: 1250 / 500 units
While at 35% or greater health, Roe unleashes a nuclear fireball at the target location, dealing 200/260/320(+90%AP) magic damage and stunning for 2.5 seconds to struck enemies.
While below 35% health, Roe summons Echo to ride on instead, for the next 5 seconds cannot be dismounted and gains 200/300/400(+120%AP) shield. Cannot attack or cast abilities while mounted.
Noble Thief Clarification: Rank 1, you gain about the same amount of gold, further ranks grant a small boost to your gold gain. Then you can choose to share the love to an ally or be selfish and use it on an enemy, saving an ally and/or giving them bonus gold could grant yourself benefits as well. Also the gold consumed will not go past the cap, for example, if you have 251 gold stored at rank 5 then you will have 11 gold stored leftover since the cap total consumed is 240 gold.
Blazing Sunset Clarification: Two different ultimates, one is for initiating and one is for escaping, so the player can choose how they want to play Roe, but cannot use both in the same fight since the cooldown and cost is shared obviously. So if you want to be more like an assassin, then you can use Echo to get into the fight, deal your spell combo of damage, and then when you get low can use Echo as your escape plan - this powerful mobility and shield does sacrifice the massive nuke and AoE stun as the point of balance (as well as being on a long cooldown) creating a proper this or that choice the player needs to make, neither option is better than the other.
