[Champion concept] Clint, the Cleaner
A friend recently told me about how Riot had to explain where champions corpses went after death. I missed that article, but these explainations were obviously lies, as I have held with myself for a while the secret folder containing the truth: there's someone cleaning all of that. And his name is... CLINT! The Cleaner (what did you expect?)
League of Legends Champion presentation: Clint, the cleaner.
Main traits: -Bald, quite musculated, but thinner than Braum. He is his younger brother. -Likes to party after work. -Uses a spray for basic attacks in one hand, and holds a broom in the other hand.
Main role: Support Secondary role: Mage Note: All stats given are approximative and need futher testing and studying to be balanced.
Base stats: Basic attacks' range: 500 Health: 550 (+90) Health regen: 6 (+0,6) Mana: 350 (+50) Mana regen: 6 (+0,8) Base AD: 55 (+3,5) Base movement speed: 335 Base attack speed: 0,625 (+1,5%) Armor: 25 (+3,5) Magic Resist: 30
Passive: Someone has to do the job.
When Clint steps on a champion's dead corpse, he stops 1,5 second over it to clean it with his broom and makes it disappear, gaining a permanent bonus of 3 Ability Points and 20 Health points.
Technical sidenote: Some particle may need to be added considering certain skins don't leave anything on the floor. Only Clint sees them anyway, it's his job.
Q: /!\ Wet dance floor Range: 950 Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8s Cost: 50/60/70/80/90 mana
Clint dashes towards the targetted direction on a long distance (950) with an increasing speed, cleaning the ground very fast with his groom. Allies gain movement speed (15/17/20/22/25%) on the path he has cleaned for 2 seconds.
If Clint hits an ennemy champion on his way, the dash stops and bumps the champion very shortly dealing magic damage increasing with the distance travelled. (60100/100160/160220/220260/260350 + 6580% AP)
Technical sidenote: Dash cannot be cancelled manually, cannot pass through walls and pushes minions sideways, quite similar to Sion's ult, leaving a trail like Galio's old E: Righteous gust
W: Bang 2 in 1 Passive (toggle): Clint's basic attacks put soap in his target's eyes, marking the ennemy with bubbles up to a maximum of 5 bubbles. Each bubble mark inflicts (10/18/26/32/40 + 10% AP) magic damage per second over 3 seconds and then disappears. If an ennemy is marked with 5 bubbles, the marks consume to blind the ennemy for a few seconds (1,5), the same ennemy cannot be marked with bubbles for 7 seconds after that.
E: Dry hard Activation range: 700 Breaking range: 900 Cooldown: 12s Cost: 70/75/80/85/90 mana
Clint throws a laundry line in the targeted direction, linking himself to the first champion hit, for 4 seconds. If the targeted champion is an ennemy and they go out of range, the line breaks, slowing the ennemy (40%) and dealing magic damage (60/110/160/210/260 + 70% AP). If an outside ennemy champion walks through the laundry line, the linked champion is free'd from the link, but the outside champion is rooted for 1,5 second and receives the magic damage instead.
Technical sidenote: Throwing animation is similar to Leona's E: Zenith blade, then creates a link like Karma's W: Focused resolve.
R: Foam Party! Activation range: 350 Radius: 225 Cooldown: 130/120/110s Cost: 100/150/200 mana Clint throws a foam party in a large area of effect dealing magic damage (200/300/400 + 85% AP) to all units inside over its duration. The area stays for 3 seconds and allied champions located in the foam party will not suffer from any crowd control while ennemy champions gain 50% tenacity.
Suggestion sidenote: May give crowd control immunity to both teams... Or immediate crowd control removal over the duration (leaving the possibility to cancel spell channels)
Quotes: “Dazzling eyes” -W's blind effect “Bang, bye filths!” “No blood effusion! I just cleaned...” “Stain's alive!” “Is that a stain on your jacket?” Interractions: Kog maw's E hitting Clint: “Oh boy! I'll finish later tonight...” Braum's W on Clint, Braum's line becomes: “Stand behind bro!”
Explanation: Clint is an offensive support. He possesses a few potential crowd controls but they are not that easy to handle. His Q allows him very powerful engages or escape by bringing his allies with him. His W is difficult ability to master. Mainly used to harass the opponent, if the fight gets long enough, Clint may give the advantage to his lane partner by blinding shortly the opponent. However, Clint has to decide wether he needs to blind the target or keep dealing damage. His E can be used in several manners: -it can either be used only as a slow: attach an ennemy champion and run in the opposite direction to break the link and charge back into them with your Q to engage, or just use your Q to run away and leave no chance to the ennemy champion to catch back. -or it can be a very powerful isolating engaging option by attaching either a fast moving ally champion or a fleeing ennemy and catching another ennemy in the line. Finally, his Ultimate allows his bursty squishy (LB, Kata...) or slicy (Trynda, Yi...) teamates to finally engage with no worries (other than getting bursted back) and gives them 3 seconds to kill anything that's not sporty enough to run away. It can of course also be used to escape or deal some damage. Even though Clint is mostly designed to be on the bottom lane, his set leaves him enough possibilities to be played at different positions, he will be a bulky mage dealing constant damage by regulating his W's marks.
My personal thoughts about my creation: the original idea really came from cleaning the dead champions' corpses we leave in the rift. I have made this a year ago but finally decided to post it since Riot had to find an explanation for the disappearing corpses. I'm not sure about the viability of all of his set. W may be too annoying to use properly, and R looks broken but at the same time, gives something new to the league. I would love to see Clint join the league, but what he can at least become is: a legend, the legend of the man who cleans thoses corpses.
To conclude, please enjoy this lore, directly following Braum's lore: The young girl ran and climbed into her bed, eager to here more prowess of Braum. Her grandmother approached slowly, asking her: “-I have told you so many of Braum's feats, but have I never told you about his brother, Clint? -He had a brother? I had never heard about him! -It's because he was somehow hidden by Braum's fame. Clint was Braum's little brother. During his childhood, Clint was a lot frailer than his older brother and suffered mockery from teenagers of the village because of a passion, a sort of obsession he had for cleaning. Of course, Braum was always there to protect him and encourage him to keep doing what he likes. But one day, the teens from the village attacked Clint when he was alone, and to psychologically hurt him, they shaved all of his hair. When Braum found his brother later, he was laying on the ground, covered in snow. Braum took the initiative to shave himself too in order to support his brother. Surprised by this move, Clint bursted in laughter, and together they decided to keep this style as a symbol of their unbreakable fraternity. -And then, what happened to Clint? I have never seen him in the village... -Later on, feeling he had to build himself a future, Clint travelled across the world proposing very fast cleaning services of all kind, making everything disappear for his employers, including bothersome people... This work sometimes led him to fight and he developed his own combat style with the tools he had with him, and quickly became somewhat famous for this. The last time he came to the village, he had changed a lot, I couldn't recognize him anymore... He was looking a lot stronger, it's crazy how he reminded me of his brother that day. He had come to salute us one last time as he was waiting for his entry validation for the League of Legends, where he planned to show his brother how strong he has become.”
