#Cyr, the Shards of Forgotten Aeons Shurima Support/ Mage

Appearance: A semi-loose collection of freely individually floating shards of translucent glass that sporadically reflect and refract light. His form is vaguely humanoid, but hollow, with only a hint of a face, and no fingers.

Design Philosophy Cyr is really a collection of shards separated from a once much larger and more powerful being. He was designed to be a Tanky Mage with support abilities. Naturally squishy with abilities that add to his defense. But in turn this allows him to have windows of weakness and windows where he will be very durable vs very brittle. While he is not inherently fast he is a master of peeling. His passive can allow him to slow and deter the charge of aggressive champions while giving him a bit of shield sustain. He can create a shield that will turn into a copy of him to create a wall between him and his opponents. And he can completely deny enemy champions from jumping on his own squishes while still allowing them to move and attack with retaliation. And he can deny the enemy a means of attacking him unless they want to be retaliated upon. Even then as strong as he is he is still only a minuscule fraction of his former power. Anyone who stands in his way, beware, he will make them feel the exact nature of his wrath.

A similar type of idea has been discussed by Riot Meddler 2 yrs ago, I did this design before I read this, but I thought it was pretty cool that the idea had been thought of when I saw it on Jeremy Curios channel. It follows the idea of attaching to an ally and casting abilities from them. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/champions-skins/niH3APAB-meddler-qa?show=nested

Passive: Living Glass: When he is below 75% Hp he starts dropping shards of glass behind him: 3 shards every 5 sec. Shards are consumed to deal X damage (+10% of armor) and slow enemies that walk over them. For every 5% Hp below 75% he drops shards more often. At 10% Hp he constantly drops shards. At 0 he or his clone shatters dispersing a number of shards equal to 5% of his health in a 300 unit radius.

Picking up Passive Shards grants a shield equal to 3% current health ( x # of shards collected) and heal him if the shield holds for 3 sec for the amount of shield left.

Q - Sharp Reminder: Throws a clump of glass that drops passive shards as it travels, and bursts on impact in a 200 unit 45 degree cone behind the target. Passive: Allied units deal 3% bonus damage to targets hit for 3 sec, he deals 1% bonus damage.

W - Crystal Mirror/ Mirror Reflection: Self Cast: He gains a shield equal to 20% (+5% armor) of his health for 5 sec. If the shield holds for 3 sec Mirror Reflection become available Mirror Reflection: he shatters into 2, dashing back 350 units, leaving a static glass statue version of himself that blocks projectiles. The copy has health equal to the shield left over. Mirror Reflection’s copy unit allows Refract's passive to stack twice. Allied Cast: He rushes 500 units to embrace an ally with his hollow form, covering them in his shards of glass to shield them for 30% of his health (+5% armor) for 6 sec. The ally cannot be damaged until the shield ends or is broken. When cast on an ally he will be Entangled to the ally until recast. All single-target allied abilities affect the shielded ally, not him, except those that apply shields which will be added to his. All MS buffs and dashes activated by him, affect the shielded ally. VFX: Allies covered by him shine, sparkle, and sporadically project faint images of him at different angles. Mirror Reflection (ALLY): Same as Self cast, except this time it looks just like the ally.

Note: Although Mirror Reflection (ALLY) will become available after 3 sec of shielding, if cast it will deactivate the ally shield early as long as it cast before 6 sec is up. Additionally while the shield portion of Crystal Mirror lasts 6 sec, Cyr can actually still stay attached to the ally, but both the ally and Cyr will take 50% damage and both can be CC'd at the same time as long as Cyr remains attached to the ally, any ally buffs, or enemy debuffs will be applied to both units.

E - Refract: **Passive - Magnify: ** He increases the damage of allied abilities and AA that pass through his units by 5%. Doubled if he is shielding an ally. For every allied ability (except his own) that passes through his own units, his AP is boosted by 5% of the ability's dmg until his next cast capped at 15% bonus AP. Active: He begins to channel, retaining MS, and shining brightly for 6 sec as he gathers energy. If attacked by a non-minion in this state he flashes damaging and applying Nearsight to all enemy units in a 575 unit radius for 1.75 seconds. The longer he channels the more damage it deals. If his channel is completed his CDs are reduced and his next ability deals bonus damage (does not stack.)

R - Shatter: He grabs an enemy channeling and suppressing them for 1 sec, transforming them into glass for 5 sec. If that champion takes damage after being turned to glass they will take true damage and shatter into 5 player controlled shards within a 450 unit radius for 8 sec. Allies can target and destroy these shards.

The shattered enemy is Polymorphed and can only control 1 shard at a time; they can hit the alt key to switch the shard nearest their cursor. Each shard has 20% of the enemy champion's current health, and 50% of their resistances. With each shard that the controlled one comes in contact with they combine and stack health, until all remaining pieces are reformed, and the effect ends. If time runs out, remaining shards not gathered are destroyed; The effect ends and the enemy champion will regain the amount of health left in the shard currently controlled.

#Shuriman Lore Shards rasp and shriek as they slide and scape past each other. Light reflects blindingly harsh, refracting. He treads across the sands of Shurima trying to feel his surroundings but disconnected from the great vast reaches of dunes he used to possess.

There is no way he can reconnect to them, though he longs to. To reclaim his old form, become the great being he used to be. But he has changed in a way that there is no way to undo what has been done. Though he refuses to acknowledge them worth the effort to hunt down, he seethes with ancient rage at the thought of the perpetrators greed and continued existence. The thought that their selfishness has reduced him to a single entity makes him smolder with anger.

In ancient times he was the true and first Guardian of the Sands, the first Ascendant. So old he has been forgotten, only the vast reaches of the desert remain a testament to his power, though none recognize him for what he is, he has always been ever present, ever vigilant. He rests with the sands, lets it whisper to him the events of the far reaches of the world, and he has heard and seen much.

He has watched over Shurima, saw it grow from a small trade village to a powerful empire, witnessed the construction of the sun disk, and saw Nasus' and Renekton's creation. He was there when Shurima fell, as he did see many other civilizations rise and fall as millennia and millennia have passed. To whisk away and swirl in the wake of the rise of civilization, and settle over the ruins of the past; The sands had seen all for eons watching all passively never interacting with the mortal world, content to just watch.

That is until they intruded too deep into his realm and committed a crime that can never be forgiven. When Cassiopia caused the opening of the Tomb of the Ascendant, the resulting energies burst forth warping the surrounding area. The core collection of his being, residing there at the time, was melted and crystallized cutting him off from the rest of his essence. His conscious torn away from the desert sand. His transformation locked him out of his own realm, he could never again in become one with the sands again.

Nothing last forever everything eventually returns to sand, returns to him. Dust to dust. And yet now he has been wrenched away from it never to return. Glass does not wither or crumble, it only cracks, and become ever sharper, as does his feeling of displacement.

"This ancient being may represent fragility, but also the wrath of those who are broken" - Nasus

#Harsh Meeting Ammumu trudged across the desert. Feet dragging in the sand, squinting into the horizon, sand glaring harshly into his eyes. The sun beat down on his back, and waves of heat rolled across the dunes. He wondered why had he not be able to find anyone here, there was... nothing.

A bright light brilliantly flashed ahead, Ammumu squeezed his eyes shut, was he seeing things? The light blinked and twinkled again. It must be another person, maybe a lone peddler hawking metal wares! Ammumu's heart quickened.

He picked up his pace. Yes! It was another person. They were still in the distance but he could see them walking towards him, strangely though, they appeared to be getting brighter.

As Ammumu neared him he realized why, the person was not normal. He was not of one single piece. The shifting fractured shards that made up his body screeched and shrieked as they slid and scraped past each other. The sun reflected off of the fragments, blindingly harsh, and splintering across his features. He was made of glass.

The being reached down and lifted a handful of sand. As it drifted through his fingers and filtered through the gaps in his glass hands a look of tormented anguish cracked his face, as his fist trembled.

The man hadn't noticed the bandaged wrapped boy, but Ammumu realized that the man must be lonely as well. He too must be searching for a connection that was lost. Ammumu rushed to greet him, but the man walked straight through him, not even taking note. Ammumu stopped hard, realizing that the man hadn't walked through him, he had walked through the man. The glass shards had shifted around Ammumu and let him walk right through.

The man continued walking towards the sun. Ammumu turned around around and tried to grab the man's hand in desperation, yet the fleeting pieces of glass foiled Ammumu’s grasp again.

The man’s head whipped around glaring, and Ammumu stared into eyes more ancient than Shurima itself. The radiant sun behind his glass eyes magnified into a piercing blaze, searing Ammumu's own.

Alarmed, Ammumu stumbled back and fell, blinded. When he finally rubbed the stabbing pain from his eyes, the man was nowhere to be seen.

Quotes See your life reflected in me The future you face is ultimately face is entirely up to you I will reclaim my domain You think you are a challenge for me I am ancient you are nothing more that a spec You mortals have yet to realize just how insignificant you are I am enduring, your life flashes away I may crack, but you will be obliterated Do you know what it feels like to know true pain? I feel...hollow. This is not my true place Come, let us see who is more fragile It will be me who shatters you I see right through you How many eons has it been? Tsk, you can't handle only a fraction of my former power? They will know the nature of my wrath A billion years and you still will not know my pain I am everlasting, but you will end soon What seems to last forever to you feels like second to me

Tips

  • Save E for last, even if your other abilities get baited out, E is a strong denial tool
  • His power is doubled with an ally
  • If your being chased decided which is better, using Q at the enemy offensively to kite, or away defensively to walk away and tank
  • Q can also be shot straight at an enemy then walking into their face with a shield
  • Use self cast W to create a shield and use E's passive of the copy to deal 10% extra dmg to targets in front of the copy
  • You can also dash out of harms way with the copy's cast
  • You passive makes you the king of peel, and it works while allied W is cast
  • Use allied W mirror to confuse enemies and protect your allies
  • Try to use allied W right after self W mirror to stack damage

Tips

  • He is mana starved
  • This guy is super tanky, bait out all of his abilities before going all in, without them he is not much of a tank
  • He is very vulnerable when his abilities are on CD, and his mana is low
  • E does not grant a shield but watch out for when he uses it, and judge if attacking him is worth it
  • Do not chase this guy when he is low health
  • Don't stand behind minions, his Q can still reach you
  • If you get ulted get your glass shards together ASAP
  • If your ally gets broken protect their glass shards
