Kindred skin?

Why has it been 3 years since kindred got her last skin? Why didn't we get one when she was played more, earlier this season? She is a champion that you could have very diverse skins on, though we still just have 1 skin that is good. I really feel like we don't need another Ahri skin or Lux skin. Even Kai'sa who came out so recently already has what 4 skins? Seeing new elderwood skins it seems like that could have been the perfect skin line for kindred.
