Introducing onevone.eu. A simple website meant to help inexperienced players
Greetings summoners,
While in my application process for Riot, I started developing a simple application in order to interact with the public API.
The concept is pretty simple. You type in the champion that you are about to play ,the opposing champion and the website generates suggestions such as item builds(including every item purchased), masteries, runes, spell ordering and summoner spells. It also includes some statistics about that matchup itself so that you can get the bigger picture of the difficulty. The server is set in a way so that it adjusts to the latest patch data. The throwback to this is that every day the application calculates the averages for every matchup and that takes up to an hour, so you might experience some downtime during that process. The website is hosted on my own server with limited resources so my guess is it can handle up to 30k-50k concurrent users.
I am not a graphic designer myself so the UI is not that great at the moment. I would not suggest trying it on mobile phones because ~~ the CSS is damn m~~ess this version lacks some features. You might also notice some inaccuracies such as, incomplete item builds or shorter spell paths. This happens because partially because of the application is aggregating data, but also by the fact that the algorithm that calculates the averages is a bit strict. This issues will be fixed within the next few days. If you have any suggestions about improving the whole website or you just want to contribute I would be more than happy to hear you out.
