Ingrid, the Ashen Witch

Ingrid is a top/mid laner based around declaring and expanding her territory, with counterplay built in around her white ashes. Throughout the laning phase, the enemy laner will be forced to decide whether or not it's worth walking into her White Ashes to deny her the buff at that location. Which culminates in her ult, when the enemy realises just how far they have trespassed into her ashes.

When she was young, Ingrid was a prodigy at fire magic, and she was fascinated by the dancing flames. One day, when she was practicing a particularly high level spell, she was so entranced that she lost control, burning her home and family to ash. Stricken with grief; suffering from terrible burns; and scared that she would be executed for the murder of her family, she fled.

In the years after the incident, she secluded herself in a small grove, dedicating herself to mastering fire magic so that the mistakes of the past do not repeat themselves, yet still unable to ignore the beauty of the flames. As she grew older, she discovered something of an affinity for ashes, eventually incorporating it into her fire magic and eschewing the flames.

Unfortunately, she was forced out of her home when the Demacian army marched through her forest in order to outflank the Noxian forces, when the Noxian forces pursued the Demacians the conflict left the area devastated.

Blaming Demacia, and unwilling to side with Noxus, she wages a one woman war against Demacia.

Passive: Ashes of the past Standing here almost reminds me of home When standing on Scattered ash gains 10-20% cooldown reduction (applied independently of regular cdr), +5% damage reduction, and +5-10% movement speed.

Q: Burning ashes The ashes burn hotter the the flames Throws white hot ashes in target direction, if they hit an enemy deals 50-220 (+0.3 AP) damage on impact and 30-130 (+0.4 AP) over the next 3 seconds. If the ashes miss, they mark the ground underneath the endpoint as White ash. If an enemy champion walks over White ash they are slowed by 20%, decaying over the next 3 seconds. If no one walks over White ash for 5 seconds, the ground becomes Scattered ash for the next 2 minutes.

W: Ashen shield Ingrid creates a shield of ash around her that blocks 60-240 (+0.7 AP) damage for the next 1-2 seconds. When the shield wears off, turns a small area around her into Scattered ash for the next 30 seconds and slows nearby enemies by 20% for the next 1-2 seconds.

E: Immolate Life is but a moment away from ash. Ingrid attempts to incinerate target enemy, dealing 60-180 (+0.6 AP) damage. If Immolate kills the target enemy, turns the ground in a small area around them into White ash. Deals 50% bonus damage to minions. If Immolate kills a minion, it deals 20% reduced damage to nearby enemies.

R: Memories of the Inferno Even ash remembers what it was like to burn Ingrid channels for 1 second ignites all the Scattered ash within a large area around her, dealing 40-80 (+0.04-0.08 AP) damage per second to all enemies standing on Scattered ash, after 5 seconds the ignited ash explodes dealing 100-200 (+0.3-0.7 AP) damage to all enemies standing on Scattered ash within range. All ignited ash is consumed.

This is a pretty neat design, although since you're in the CCOS you'd probably want to put just a little more detail into her lore.

Main problem here is that there's no way to win against her if she's in an area for a few seconds. Unless you quickly kill her before she can do anything, Ingrid's just going to coat a pretty ludicrous area in ashes and then murder everything with her ult, mana notwithstanding. Trying to disrupt placing ash means you take damage, which isn't intuitive, and if you attack her shield and destroy it, it punishes you by spreading ash anyways, which is a jerk move design-wise.

In the meantime, her ratios and bases are too low to do anything other than scatter ash and then ignite it. If she has to move at all, or gets knocked out of her area, she's utterly worthless. It's fine to have weaknesses, but she's so reliant on her ult for damage that it goes too far. What ends up happening is that she's overpowered in her best case scenario whenever that happens, and useless everywhere else.

You need to stabilize the curve here. While the Q and ult can work out alright, the W and E are too focused on spreading ash that they're useless for anything else. I'd recommend swapping them out for more conventional damage spells such that you can actually fight against someone who's not on your turf yet. Crowd control would be a good idea - you have none right now, so you can't actually force anyone to stay inside your burning ashes without an extraordinary amount of team effort that probably would have killed them anyways. Remove the damage for walking on white ash - it's not enough to matter, but still enough that opposing players are faced with a lose-lose situation there. This can work, but you need to keep thinking about counterplay and what happens if you don't get the perfect ult off.

Very unique and interesting. The one problem i have is with her E. It's too much of a malzahar copy. Since E is one of malzahars signature moves (before his rework at least) having it on another champion feels weird. Perhaps instead of making it pass on it simply makes the minion explode and deal damage to the surrounding units.
