Positive & Negative Champion: Sparksters
So after playing League of Legends for a while and seeing all the champions that didn't use mana, I thought of a champion idea. It would be kind of like Kindred in the sense that there are two of them, and they would be called Positive and Negative. Together as one character, they would be called the Sparksters. Positive would be blue and Negative would be red. They're two small characters that are like sparks that run around together and control electricity. Positive, would be an optimist and encourage the players to keep going. Where Negative, would be a pessimist that would look at every scenario as if it ruined everything. One idea I had was after the enemy team got first blood, Positive would tell them that it was a mistake and wasn't too much of a big deal. And Negative would then say something like "Well we mind as well just give up now." Their weapons would be two twin blades that looked the same, but in the center, there was an arc of electricity that corresponded to their electrical color. So Positive is a blue spark that wields a sword that has a blue electric core with blue lightning traveling along the blade. Negative would be a red spark with the same sword, but with red lightning, instead of blue. as for their abilities, this is where my 'Non-mana' part comes in. Their "mana" is energy that they can build up until they have their max amount reached. Now here's where it gets a little weird: They would have no energy regen. At all. But here's what makes them unique: None of their spells have cool downs. Which brings up the question: "How do Sparksters get energy?" Well that's where their passive kicks in. Abilities: Passive: Opposites Attract: Whenever Sparksters is standing still, Positive and Negative will join their blades in an "X" shape and gain energy. This gives them bonus armor and deals damage to all units around them. The armor, energy regen, and AOE damage around them is lost once they start moving again. When Sparksters gain maximum energy, they will gain bonus movement speed and the next spell they use will have a special effect. If Sparksters are silenced, stunned, or anything like that, they cannot gain energy, armor, or deal AOE surrounding damage.
Q: Spark Dash: Sparksters would become literal balls of electricity that circle around each other as they move towards a target location. This would be like Kennen's E ability except Sparksters would keep moving until they reach their destination, or as close as they can get. This has no cast range, since it uses energy and the cost would be measured by the distance they travel. It would deal small amount of damage, but give lots of mobility. If this ability is used when Sparksters have maximum energy, they would end their dash in a large burst of electricity, dealing burst damage and stunning enemies in the area that they ended at. While using Electronic Fusion, Sparksters shoots small skillshot balls of lightning that deal damage and slow enemy units.
W: Lightning Lance: Sparksters put their blades together and shoot a beam of lightning that will go wherever the mouse is. Like Sparksters' Q ability, it's energy cost would be based on how long the beam is used. The beam would deal the most damage to whomever it hits first, and then the damage is reduced and splits to all nearby enemy units. If this ability is used with maximum energy, then it will deal large burst damage, causing all units that would normally take reduced damage, to take the full damage and be slowed. After the burst damage, the Lightning Lance would deal it's normal amount of damage. Sparksters cannot move while using this ability, and their passive won't activate. While using Electronic Fusion, Lightning Lance has all of the same aspects, except for the fact that Sparksters has to stay still.
E: Storm Sphere: Passive: Whenever Sparksters have a Storm Sphere, they gain a small amount of armor, magic resistance and have a thorns aspect where attackers take a small portion of the damage they deal. While using Electronic Fusion, Sparksters Storm Spheres attributes are increased.
E: Storm Sphere: Active: Sparksters create a small ball of electricity, which costs a set amount of energy to summon. They can summon a maximum amount of 7 spheres, that have different attributes, depending on how you use them. If Sparksters have a Storm Sphere and perform a basic attack, they will jump and slash the enemy 1+x times, where x is the number of Storm Spheres they have. So if Sparksters had 3 Storm Spheres, they would jump around the enemy and do a total a 4 slashes. 1 from their basic attack, and 3 more, 1 from each Storm Sphere. If Sparksters use their Spark Dash ability with Storm Spheres, it would make it that the Spark Dash deals more damage, travels faster, and will allow Sparksters to end the dash with a large amount of AOE damage. When Storm Spheres are used with Lightning Lance, it causes it to bounce off near enemies up to x times. Where x is the number of Storm Spheres Sparksters have. When Storm Sphere is used with Heavenly Exile, it adds 5 seconds to the enemies respawn time for each Storm Sphere Sparksters have. The longer respawn time is only added if Sparksters kills an enemy champion with Heavenly Exile. While using Electronic Fusion, Storm Sphere has all of the same aspects it would normally have.
R: Heavenly Exile / Electronic Fusion: Sparksters join their blades and thrust them into the air, summoning a giant blue and red lightning bolt, dealing damage equal to the amount of energy they have. It uses up all of Sparksters energy , and turns it into a single target burst damage. If Heavenly Exile id cast on an ally, then Sparksters turn into electricity and jump inside there body, giving Sparksters an armor bonus based on the amount of energy that they had. The armor buff is slowly lost over time. While in the body of an ally, Sparksters gain full energy and can cast modified spells from the person they are in. All aspects of Opposites Attract are active when Sparksters are using Electronic Fusion except for the energy regen. While Electronic Fusion is active, Sparksters takes all of the damage the ally they are in would take, and the ally affected by Electronic Fusion takes none of the damage. Sparksters have Electronic Fusion active until they die, run out of energy, or choose to stop it manually.
These are what I think the Champion 'Sparksters' would look like and I hope to one day get to see them in the game as a Jungler/Supporter. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this!
