How bout a new faction/city state?

the way I look at it every city-state/ faction in the league of legends lore seems to have a rival or parallel group to it (Examples: Demacia- Noxus, Piltover- Zaun, the Shivering Isles- the Void, Frejlord- Shurima Dessert, and Ionia and bilgewater, ect.) however, there is no group that tries to go against the grain in terms of neutrality or political stances, or a group that presents such a threat that peace and an alliance seems to be the only way to not to end up destroyed where the question "If we go to war with these people will we survive?". This could just be me wanting this but i think it would be pretty good idea. new faction means more potential for more diverse and intresting champions and more lore between older and newer champions and factions. i would like to hear some other peoples opinion.

No one should ever stop trying to expand upon a lore rich fictional environment. Look at popular franchises atm. They keep adding and building stuff.

One thing though: It should never come at the expense of an existing faction. Too many times new things have come along that cause old well made things to be completely ignored. Example: the Sisters of Battle in wh40k. Great faction but hasnt had a true rule update, TT unit, book, or proper short story focused on them in like a decade.

You don't have your parallels quite right, actually. Only Demacia/Noxus and Piltover/Zaun fit the theme you mentioned.

The Void and the Shadow Isles are definitely big enemies everyone has to unify against. Ionia is largely neutral, aside from one or two things. Same with Freljord, which has its own issues. Same with Shurima aside from the Noxian insavion. Same with Targon.

Why add a new faction now when there's plenty of unexplored factions already? That's like starting on an essay due next year when you have another one due tomorrow.

I would rather see more variation with the factions we already have, like the island where Annie was from - that voodoo place. It's a place of arcane presence and witchcraft, and nothing like that has been explored in full. There are plently of little pockets in the lore like this that have yet to be tapped for their potential (hopefully), but I feel that almost anything you can out into the game can fit into the contextual world that already exists.
