Hextech Chests - Coupons that let you choose which Shard you want!!!
Give Hextech Chests more choice when it comes to cosmetic rewards
[Removed] Hextech Chests don't drop Shards [Added] Hextech Chests instead drop Coupons, these are traded for one of a small choice of Shards
- Champion Skin Coupon - trade in for a Skin Shard for that Champion
- Eg: Jhin Skin Coupon, can be swapped for any Jhin Skin Shard: Blood Moon, High Noon, Project, SKTT1.
- [NEW] Skin Theme Coupon - trade in for a Skin Shard from that Theme
- Eg: Star Guardian Skin Coupon, can be swapped one of the Star Guardian Skin Shards like Lux, or Miss Fortune, etc.
- Ward Skin Coupon - trade in for any Ward Skin Shard
- Emote Permanent Coupon - trade in for any Emote Permanent
- [IDEA] Chroma Coupon
- [IDEA] Ultimate Skin Coupon
- [IDEA] Hextech Skin Coupon
This would reduce the luck factor of cosmetic rewards from Hextech Chests and give players much more freedom to choose what they want.
I really do believe the Hextech loot reward system is pretty good, and I'm a huge fan of the freedom that comes with Blue Essence. However Orange Essence feels very hit or miss. You either happen to get a skin shard you like, or you don't; and when you don't, you've got nothing you can do with the currency, except wait for the next random chance.
Champion Skin Coupons, probably shouldn't be able to get these for a champion who has only 1 skin, as that would defeat the point of the being able to make a choice. EG Aurelion Sol has 1 choice, so you shouldn't be able to get an Aurelion Sol Skin Coupon.
Skin Theme Coupons seem like a great idea really, but there are a lot of Skin Themes only two or three champions in them. 3x Piltover Customs (Blitzcrank, Heimerdinger, Corki). 3x Eternum (Nocturne, Cassiopeia, Rek'sai). 3x Pharoah (Nidalee, Nasus, Nunu). 2x Thunder Lord (Ornn, Volibear). 2x Challenger (Nidalee, Ahri). 2x Cottontail (Fizz, Teemo). 2x Death Blossom (Kha'zix, Elise). 2x Justicar (Aatrox, Syndrda). 2x Order of the Lotus (Irelia, Karma) 2x Pulsefire (Ezreal, Caitlyn). 2x Road Warrior (Rumble, Warwick, Miss Fortune). 2x Woad (Ashe, Quinn).
