Idea for veteran player blue essence use, as well as hextech box mechanic

I was playing a few games with some friends last night and I was lamenting the fact that you only get 1 hextech box to earn per week, and it only stores up to 4 boxes total. For someone like me, I'm always out of boxes to get and the 6-7 day wait time for a new box to come up is really hampering my motivations to either play at my best, or play at all.

So I got to thinking, and I had an idea that could solve my hextech box as well as massive blue essence surplus woes. I've been playing League for a few years and for everyone who's like me and either owns every champion or owns every champion they care to play, we have heaps of blue essence just sitting there, with nothing to spend it on. The idea I had was if Riot didn't want to change the current hextech box mechanic, instead of just leaving players dry after 4 boxes every month, they could introduce a voucher system. What happens is, when you have 0 available boxes to earn, but you get an S ranking on a champion you've never gotten a box on, the game rewards you with a voucher/ticket that sits in your hextech crafting inventory. You must then combine this voucher with X amount of blue essence and that will create a new hextech chest for you (no key).

I just feel like the change to blue essence was very helpful for new players and new accounts, but for people who have been playing much longer, there's just not much or anything at all for us to spend our blue essence on. Not to mention, it makes no sense to me, that the system rewarding you for playing a champion very well is being capped to a measly 4 per month. Now, if Riot is afraid that this system will hand out too many boxes to players and as a result, they can't capitalize on people purchasing things in the store with riot points, we should remember boxes need keys. And my suggested voucher system combining with blue essence to create normal (not mastercraft) hextech chests do not yield keys. As a result, players will need to continue playing honorably to earn key fragments, or buy keys from the store if they're feeling itchy about having boxes unopened in their crafting tab.

All in all, I was hoping to strive for a middle ground between having things to use blue essence on (so it actually feels like it has value to older players with everything or close to everything they want) as well as create greater incentive for regular players to continue playing at their best to earn S rankings on different champs in an honorable manner.

If you've gotten this far, thank you so very much for taking the time to read everything and hopefully this was useful even as just food for thought. Thanks again, and have a wonderful day!
