[Champ Concepts] Champion Team - The Gasspian Family
Back before the boards were changed, I posted a thread on the Gasspian family, a group of 5 champions connected by lore and theme. Since then, I have made several updates and alterations to their kit designs so I am going to recreate the thread on the new board.
I will be posting one of the 5 champions each day for the next 5 days. But first the family:
Lore
The Von Gasspian family first granted themselves noble status long ago before the first rune wars began between Demacia and Noxus. At this time, the only known trade route across Valoran by land wound through a an area of jagged hills surrounded by vile swampland. On these hills a small shanty town began to form, creating a pocket of safety for travelers on the road as they trekked through the swamps.
The town was largely lawless, and groups of unsavory individuals began to vie for control of what little there was. A young man named Rainart worked for one of the local groups, but he always wanted more. One day, he stumbled across an incredible discovery, that the hills the small town had grown on actually held stores of precious gems. Rather than sharing this discovery, he took what he could and started to use his new found treasure to quietly manipulate the forces of the shanty town and gather people who would support his bid for control.
Eventually, with the gangs beaten by infighting, Rainart made his move, crushing any opposition and making himself the ruler of collection of rickety buildings. Under his direction, the slumlike town quickly grew into a booming city he named Weisstadt. Trade and profits flourished under his watchful eye. As time passed and he fathered a family, many believe he would crown himself a king, but instead, he opted to simply call his family nobility, and he took the surname Gasspian.
As Weisstadt grew, it found itself wedged between the encroaching forces of the other City-States, and thus Rainart once again opted for manipulation, a tactic that future generations would embrace. Through the family's tactics, Weisstadt's would be conquerors have constantly found themselves diverted away from the jewel laying in the center of Valoran.
While Rainart Von Gasspian possessed a drive for greatness, recent generations have been increasingly content to maintain an isolationist position in Valoran. The most recent head of the family, Gottfried Von Gasspian, was especially known for his indulgent lifestyle and oblivious outlook on the affairs of Valoran at large. However, he recently met with an untimely and unexpected death, leaving his eldest son Heinreich in charge of Weisstadt and Gasspian family as a whole. It has long been known by Weisstadt's populace that Heinreich often disagreed with his father, often pushing for bold initiatives outside the walls of Weisstadt.
