Champion Concept--Fendil, The Lizard Sandmage
The basic idea behind Fendil is that he is a humanoid lizard-person (think Lizalfos from Zelda or Lizardfolk from D&D/Pathfinder) whose main combat effectiveness is his desert-based magic. I envision him mostly as an AP-based Support, but he could probably be a pretty good Mid as well.
Passive--Detachable Tail: When Fendil is hit by a grab, throw, or snare, he instead detaches his tail (which is affected by the cc in question). This passive would have a sizeable cooldown while his tail grows back (comparable to Anivia or Zac ) Q--Sand Blast: Basic targeted damage ability; scales with AP. Additional ranks increase damage and mana cost, but decrease cooldown. W--Quicksand: Creates a circle area that slows enemies within it; the slow amount increases if the enemy stands still for a bit while inside. Additional ranks reduce cooldown and increase size of circle. E--Shed Skin: Spend HP to remove any current debuffs; however, at the same time, Armor and Magic Resist are reduced to zero. Over the course of the cooldown (which I envision being pretty high), they regenerate to the previous levels. Additional ranks decrease cost and cooldown. Ult--Sandstorm: For a short time, create a damaging and slowing sandstorm centered on self. Damage dealt scales with AP. Additional ranks increase damage and duration.
Some people may think this champion is unbalanced because he has limited immunity to some cc as well as an ability that removes any other cc. I think this is offset because the first is on a high cooldown and limited in the cc it can affect (it has no effect on slows, silences, etc.), and the second involves both spending health and allowing your enemies to deal increased damage to you while it's on cooldown. Additionally, if you use Shed Skin and then are hit with a debuff, it is unaffected (except for your reduced resistance to any damage it might have). You might still disagree with me on the balance of this (and you're 100% entitled to your opinion), but I explained my reasoning with the idea that we at least disagree while having the same information to base our respective opinions on. Also, if you disagree and feel there's information I don't have that's relevant (about this or any other issue with this champion), feel free to share; I'm not above admitting that I'm wrong sometimes.
