{[Champion Concept]} Leonidas Forsworn - Project NEMESIS

For a long time, I envisioned a possibility that AatroxxAatrox could have been a better champion (and by now he probably can be, given all of the recent creativity by the Rito employees). And so, I decided to come up with a similar concept to Aatroxx that plays much more like a diver than a sustained fighter.

Class: Fighter/Assassin (Diver)

Leonidas Forsworn (Aka NEMESIS) - The Avatar of Warfare

History/Backstory (Conceptual, molded to be more in line with League of Legends) NOTE: this character was originally concieved as a Dungeons&Dragons character, not in League lore (that I am not entirely familiar with due to a lack of reading on my part) so any backstory and/or history with this character clearly does not fit. I am aware of this.

Leonidas was a warrior, plain and simple. He was good at what he did, trained from an early age, trained to be a soldier; he took to the battlefield and was by far one of the most gifted ever seen at such an age. He was so unique, that his performance caught the eye of a secret militaristic organization: The Sanguine Armada. These soldiers were highly experimental, and required absolute mental and physical endurance in order to truly achieve a new stage in warfare. Given little options, as Leonidas needed the money that they offered him, he begrudgingly signed up with them, and underwent grueling training that would leave most recruits dead in the dirt. Eventually, after having undergone training that forever broke his spirit and body, they injected him with powerful metamagic -- dubbed Project NEMESIS -- a red fluid that was created as a revelation by their priests for the god Sanguiness: the Goddess of Pain and Blood. This metamagic turned him into much more than a soldier; he could cast limited divine magic, and his head was filled with the powers instilled to him by their god, as well as a sudden and undying devotion to this god. In addition, they added onto his military gear with a strange contraption on his back. It held two large, see-through containers full of the red liquid, as well as two retractable syringes that would drive themselves into the user’s back in order to cast his/her magic. While this liquid was only meant to reinforce Leonidas’ connection to their god, it also awoke something entirely different in him; a thirst for bloodshed. Leonidas was then released from training under their contract, to continue fighting for whomever paid him: namely his home-city’s military. They had been under attack for years now, and yet, even with his help, the walls still fell. Now, to answer Sanguiness' call, he simply seeks combat, where drops of blood fall like rain, and the League of Legends seems like the perfect place to start.

Weapons and Gear: Arletessa - A 'living' greatsword that has served NEMESIS well, it has been enchanted minorly to work with his divine magic and feeds off of the blood and warfare that NEMESIS delivers. The greatsword, while weighing a ton for most people, is virtually weightless in NEMESIS' hands and he could wield it with one hand if he desired.

Razor's Edge - a suit of chainmail that has been enchanted; well worn and constantly repaired by the Avatar of Warfare. Through some work of NEMESIS, the armor's enchantment can reseal his wounds, allowing him to continue fighting for longer than the average human being.

Voice Clips and Interactions Jokes: NEMESIS plants Arletessa into the ground "...And once I finish with you I'll--" Arletessa begins to scoot away from NEMESIS, but NEMESIS quickly reaches after it saying: "--hey, get back here! We have work to do!" Taunts: NEMESIS makes several slashes in the air, one handing Arletessa. "Normal boundaries do not chain masters." Vayne - Enemy Taunt: Time is ticking Vayne; best make your bolts count. Annie - Enemy Taunt: Ashes to ashes, you'll be cut down. Camille - Enemy Taunt: Progress is meaningless if you cannot enjoy the feeling of closure. Draven - Enemy Taunt: Your work is like scribbling with red crayon compared to my masterworks. Ivern - Ally Joke: You'll have to fight some time, green man. --Do try to make it soon. Karthus - Enemy Taunt: Death is never the end, but it might as well be with one like you around. Jax - Enemy Taunt: Come now, Jax. You think you're the master at arms here? (and thanks to EesiOh,)

Aatrox - I'm you, but stronger (gotta have a meme in their somewhere) Darius - You merely spill others blood, I bathe in it Leona DianaElise Illaoi - Tremble heathens, at the power gifted to me by a true god Tryndamere - your rage is unending... are your arteries too? Garen - no amount of armor can stay my blade, Demacian

Abilities and Concepts NOTE (2): Obviously, I am not a Rito employee. Therefore I don't have a firm grasp and a way to test the numbers on these abilities (where there are any), and so please do understand that these numbers are more or less placeholders to show where some of his most important strengths lie. I understand people will look at some of the numbers and say "This is broken! Rito would never use this!" but that's not the point of a concept. Passive: Bloodshed Nemesis does not have mana. Instead, he has Bloodshed. Whenever he damages an enemy hero with a basic attack, a spell, or is attacked by an enemy hero, he gains an amount of Bloodshed equal to 20%/30%/40% of the damage dealt. When his Bloodshed bar is full, his next ability will become enhanced depending on which ability it used with. Whenever Bloodshed is expended, Nemesis is healed for 20% of his missing health. Bloodshed decays out of combat if not full, and if full it must be expended within 5/7/9 seconds or be consumed at no benefit.

Q:Follow the Blood Trail Nemesis is able to track enemies using their injuries as a trail. Nemesis releases an ethereal blade from Arletessa, his greatsword, forwards to strike at a target. If this attack lands, Nemesis dashes forwards at the target and they are rooted for a short time. If the enemy is marked by Forced Revelation when hit by Follow the Blood Trail, then Nemesis gains a speed boost for a short time. If Follow the Blood Trail is used with a full Bloodshed bar, Nemesis does bonus damage with the ethereal blade, and the blade stays around for a duration, which will then attack the target it had struck for a brief time. The ethereal blade does damage equal to 50% of Nemesis' AD when it attacks.

W: Forced Revelation Nemesis strikes with great force, cleaving enemies in a small cone in front of him, dealing damage. Minions hit are slowed, while enemy champions bleed and are marked. While the target is marked, it takes bonus damage from Nemesis' abilities and basic attacks. If this attack is used with Bloodshed, then the cone is wider, and massively slows enemies for a brief duration.

E: No Rest for the Weak Nemesis strikes a target, leaving behind an ethereal form of Arletessa in the enemy champion. If Nemesis remains near the target until the duration expires, the blade is expunged from the champion's soul, dealing damage and causing the enemy to bleed. This bleed is unique from Forced Revelation's bleed. When used with a full Bloodshed bar, the enemy becomes stunned after Arletessa's ethereal form is expunged. Bloodshed is not removed on cast, but on expunge.

R: Avatar of Warfare // Arletessa's Epiphany Nemesis ascends into avatar form, gaining max bloodshed instantly as well as some bonus AD. Bloodshed is gained at double rate and Nemesis can use Arletessa's Epiphany one time during Avatar of Warfare. Bloodshed, when used during Avatar of Warfare, heals for 10% of missing health instead of 20%.

Arletessa's Epiphany Arletessa's spirit awakens inside Nemesis' blade. On first cast, Nemesis releases a wave of blood energy in front of him, marking any targets that it hits. From there, Arletessa's Epiphany may be reactivated on a marked target to dash to them and give them the debuff 'Last Words'. Last Words lasts 9 seconds, gaining one stack every two seconds, stacking up to 3. For every stack, the enemy takes 20% additional damage and after 3 seconds take damage based on their missing health(without the amplified damage). If this ability would kill the target, they will have a bloodied form of Arletessa above their head, which will sink towards them as the ability begins to expire. The mark will register starting from Stack 1 of Last Words.

That concept art is very dope! How long did this take you? (+1)

Damn, this woulda been a really interesting concept had Warwick rework not taken the blood trail gimmick. You could still do something with this, though. Otherwise, nice idea. I like it.
