Star guardian gave me an idea for a single player mode
I been thinking about a looping nuclear throne/ bit dungeon whatever you wanna call it type game where you get one life, you start on level 1 every time, you find random items in cheasts and get gold for killing monsters, at levels 0,4,9,14,19 (Out of a 20 level dungeon) you can find a shop keeper. to whom you can sell your phat lewt
if you win this guantlet as a solo you get something for the champion you did it on, maybe a border or an icon.. even an emote or a ward, not sure really.
play this as a team to see it be super duper hard, maybe with little perks to unlock for this mode that you can equip on the champs you've done it with. the perks would basically amount to misc stats and effects like "You always have phage passive" or "Spells can crit" and you can only equip 1-3 of these perks at a time.
The more people on the team (Maybe up to five, or even have a full ten man team) the harder it gets. Multiple people on a team can trade loot at the shop with eachother, but loot is player dropped not party dropped.that being said if your zed found a thornmail and your malphite found a duskblade, they might want to trade with eachother instead of selling.
the trials in this mode would range from tough fights to (in multiplayer) cooperation based puzzles, or even something cool and combined like in a four man squad three unkillable goliaths have to be kept busy while someone channels an alter that will actually kill them, meanwhile they hurt like hell and stuff
levels can use various tilesets and models for enemies, such as ones we've seen over the years, from a frozen level full of ferocious yordels, to something akin to the project tileset.. or even cooler, the old bilgewater tileset (I member)
each floor would have a different objective from clear all enemies or killing a boss to figuring out puzzles, more could be hotpatched in over time
compete with another team in a time trial, maybe even with skirmishes on some floors that would end in a 40 second stasis for the losing team,
Why 20 levels? well I figure it'd be fun that way, though the ultimate goal is surviving as long as possible
when all objectives on a floor are complete a portal opens up and the party teleports as a group to the next floor/level
eventually you get to fight the big bad on the bottom floor, each playthrough will have a random set of enemies such as demacians, piltovans, shurimans, or noxians ect. With bosses you run into being thematic, your assault on jarvin's keep might pit you against galio first at level 5, xin at level 10 wants to see personally to the issue, at level 15 garen and lux step up for the king, and at level 20 jarvin himself (They would be super powerful and would function something akin to doombots)
whereas a noxian stronghold might start with talon and katarina, then draven and darius, then raid boss sion, then Swain himself.
Piltover could be an assault on heimerdinger, first line is Cait and Vi, second line Ziggs, third line jayce and Camille, finally good ol heimer as the big boss
Shurma could be.. idunno i'm lost, maybe scrap the lore and use both factions?
Zaun could have singed, jinx, warwick, mundo, and as the big boss i'd say viktor
and of course we get icathia, freljord, and bilgewater
shop keepers would be someone to pick a bone with the enemy faction, so you'd be buying from quinn against noxus (scout), Talon against demacia (assassin/spy), MF in bilgewater etc etc
the boss set will be independent of the map tilesets just to keep things interesting but bosses may receive different buffs from different tilesets... like permafrost garen on a cold tileset, or extra item draven on a bilgewater/pirate tileset.
