Drym and Drysk, the One Blade

Who are Drym and Drysk?

Drym and Drysk are two sides of one soul; one of justice and light, the other of bloodshed and darkness. Their gameplay is very similar to that of Gnar, except with a little bit more control. Their abilities resemble two different styles, but are unique in their own way. The key is timing when to use one persona, and when to use the other.

Drym: “Our blade strikes through the sun’s light-” Drysk: “ -the moon’s shadow-” Both: “-and everywhere between.”

Passive - Eclipse: While Drym is in control, he has bonus Ability Power and Magic Resist. While Drysk is in control, he has bonus Attack Damage and Armor. Upon 6 ability casts, Drym or Drysk will transform into the other persona. Twilight Soul’s transformation does not count towards the ability count.

Q - Bright Reckoning / Dark Retribution: Drym - Drops a magical sword at a target location, dealing magic damage and slowing all enemies in the area, where it remains for another 5 seconds and grants vision. Drym can reactivate the ability to cause the blade to shatter, dealing lesser magic damage to nearby enemies in a larger area. Drysk - Throws his blade in a direction, stopping at the first enemy hit, damaging and linking them to Drysk. While linked, the target is dealt 50% of the damage over time. Drysk can reactivate the ability to rip out the blade, dealing lesser damage but slowing the target by 50% for 1 second.

W - **Preserve **/ Prowl: Drym - Generates a shield for himself for a duration. Reactivating this ability deals magic damage to all nearby enemies based on the current strength of the shield. Dashing through enemy champions with Valiant Rush increases the shield strength and duration by 20%. Drysk - Passively, Drysk gains stacks of Hunter for every unit he kills. Upon activation, Drysk gains stealth and bonus movement speed for 2 seconds. While in stealth, the next Dark Retribution deals bonus physical damage. Drysk consumes all Hunter stacks to increase the stealth duration by 3% for each stack.

E - Valiant Rush / Impending Doom: _Drym _- While in range, Drym dashes to a nearby blade from Bright Reckoning, damaging enemies on the way, and then swinging the retrieved blade around himself, consuming it to deal magic damage to all nearby enemies. Drym can dash through terrain towards the blade. Drym restores missing health for every enemy champion hit by the sword swing. _Drysk _- While linked to an enemy through Dark Retribution, Drysk dashes to the chained target and fiercely slashes them, dealing physical damage and applying a bleed over time effect equal to 35% of the damage inflicted. This ability consumes the chained blade to deal bonus damage based on the target’s missing health, instead of applying any damage or slow from Dark Retribution’s reactivation.

R - Twilight Soul: _Drym _- Transforms into Drysk, and his next basic attack applies bonus Lethality. _Drysk _- Transforms into Drym, and his next basic attack will restore 15% of his missing health.

Drysk: “Oh, what I’d give to get rid of you.” Drym: “Even if it means dying?” Drysk: “Yeah, but then you’d be dead too. And I can’t have that on my conscience.” Drym: “How ironic.”

Notes on Drym/Drysk:

  • Drym’s shield from **Preserve **will persist upon transformation into Drysk, but cannot detonate or gain strength with other ability casts.
  • Drysk’s stealth from Prowl will persist upon transformation into Drym, but all stacks to extend the duration will be lost, and no extra damage will be added to Bright Reckoning.
  • Bright Reckoning’s magic blade will still persist into the transformation of Drysk for only 3 seconds, and can be reactivated for its bonus effect. However, Drysk cannot dash to it through** Impending Doom**.
  • Dark Retribution’s blade will also persist in its target after transforming into Drym, so long as he remains in range. Drym can reactivate the ability within 3 seconds to rip out the blade, but cannot dash to it through Valiant Rush.

Drym: “You’re such a pain. A bad influence.” Drysk: “ And you’re so much fun to have around.”

As you can see, I haven't developed any lore for this concept, but I would love to hear some of your ideas. I just couldn't get something to stick with these two. Aside from that, I'd also like to hear your thoughts on this concept, and anything you liked or have questions about. As always, thanks for reading, and stay tuned for more!
