Umbra, The Lost Knight (Champion Concept)
So, I've been looking through the league champions, and i REALLY like the champions whose lore has originated in the void. Umbra, The Lost Knight is a fighter/mage champion who focuses on close combat fighting using his ap abilities. Umbra wears heavy, blackened, steel armor where his face is not visible. There are many tears and gashes in the armor, but all that can be seen inside the holes are black bones.
Lore: There was a knight of great power once, his name was Galleon. Galleon was a knight famous across Demacia for his cunning and power. He fought for the king and only the king, but his curiosity was his demise. The void approached the land and plagued all those who approached it's endless caverns. Galleon believed he could fight the approaching darkness and take back the land it was stealing from Demacia's king. He grabbed his weapon of choice, The Reaper, a scythe his ancestors had wielded in battle for generations and charged off into the darkened void, never to be seen from again. Galleon traveled far into the dark, but, just as all others who had tried, he soon perished. Hours after the death of the great knight, a soul emerged from the endless darkness, and claimed the corpse as his own. The black soul had found its catalyst, and Umbra was born. When the blackened soul of Umbra gave life to his catalyst, he was shocked to the find the corpse retained conscientiousness. As Umbra moved through the night, emerging from the void, the remains of the great knight fought against him. Umbra wandered through the forests of Runeterra, he could not sleep, eat, or hunt due to the on-going fight between his soul and the remains of the great knight, and so, he decided, to ease both his pain and the remains, he would join a group to settle the broken corpse's spirit. He would join the league of legends.
Umbra's Abilities
Passive Spread the Void: When Umbra defeats an enemy champion with one of his abilities, a patch of shadow appears on the ground, dealing 35 magic damage a second (+2 for each time Umbra levels up) for 5 seconds.
Q Return from the Void: Passive: When Umbra reaches 15% of his health, Umbra is healed for 400 (+350 at level 18) health over 7 seconds and may instantly use the active portion of this ability. Active: Umbra teleports a short distance towards the cursor. Cost: 115 mana Cooldown: 25 seconds
W Shade Strike: Umbra charges a strike for 3 seconds and the releases a void charge, dealing 200 (+25 for each time this ability is leveled up) magic damage and slowing anything that is hit. Cost: 80 mana Cooldown: 10 seconds
E The Sky Will Fall: When activated, chunks of the void rain around Umbra, dealing 40 magic damage (+10 for each time this ability is leveled up) to enemy champions near Umbra every second. This ability lasts 8 seconds. Cost: 65 mana Cooldown: 15 seconds
R The Void Flows Through Me: When activated, Umbra gains armor and magic resist based on his ap and mana and his passive activates on basic attacks for the next 15 seconds. When Umbra slays an enemy champion, add 5 seconds to the duration of The Void Flows Through Me and 2 seconds for assists. Cost: 200 mana Cooldown: 67 seconds
Skins:
Umbra, The Chilled Corpse The idea of this skin is that Umbra is trapped in ice. Frost covers his body, covering his black armor in a transparent blue. Some of the tears are frozen solid.
Rage-fire Umbra The idea of this skin is that Umbra is on fire due to the knight's rage and resistance against Umbra's soul. Every time Umbra damages an enemy champion with one of his abilities, the fire around him grows. When Umbra uses his e, the fire becomes black.
