[Concept] Support Champion with an avenger's Passive Ability
I was just playing a game where all my allies were bad and I was playing a support and although I was doing well to keep my allies alive, they didnt know how to commit to all of the kills and they often ran off to do their own thing without me and getting killed so many times due to these kinds of things.
And I was just thinking, that besides that being the kind of game that people that play support hate the most, maybe there is a way to make those kinds of situations more interesting.
KogMaw gets a special deathrattle on his passive. When he dies, he can explode for some damage, it's a revenge passive if you will. How about a different kind of vengeance? An avenger passive? I don't know if we already have one in the game.
A simple idea would be to grant 50-100 percent of the bonus AD and AP from Allied Champions to the Support Champion as they die. Strip it away by the time they revive. Revive is no longer a Summoner Spell, so it's not like your ally would cut short the duration of the bonuses. The percentage numbers could be tweaked of course, and maybe even some base values could be added.
Any suggestions for other abilities the champion would have?
I'm supposing some sort of pull allied champion ability would be pretty cool because then you could choose to snatch an ally from the jaws of death rather than trigger your passive too early. Rather than it be like a Kalista ultimate, it should be a skillshot, perhaps like Nidalee's Spear. So your ally could dodge it and trigger your passive anyway.
Perhaps the support could also have a shield, somewhat like Taric's W or Karma's R+E, shielding allies for more the closer to the support they are.
Of course the Support would need some sort of damaging ability, something relatively simple like new Galio's Q might work, or maybe a little more nuanced like old Galio's E, perhaps with a longer range or something else to distinguish it.
And another damaging ability should probably also be a skill shot.
And in case anyone is wondering, yeah...Alarak has an avenger passive in HotS, although he has to learn it through his talent tree, which is something like the mastery trees we have in LoL but you set the page up as you level within the game rather than before the game starts. Even though Alarak is not a Support, but an Assassin, I think it would be funny if that kind of ability were to be on a Support.
Would it break the game to have that kind of ability on that kind of champion? I don't know. But it is interesting to think about.
