additional kits for current champions

what if, since riot has reduced the number of champs it puts out (and will likely continue to do so as the roster gets ever larger) they instead started releasing additional kits for current champions with a focus on a different role? This would allow riot to effectively put out new champions without having to go through all of the lore and marketing work. They can focus on skills and also on updating outdated champs who need reworks, plus if theyre worried about skin income they could release kit specific skins which would be much easier to create since they wouldnt be designing completely new models aside from perhaps some skills such as would be the case with a new champion.
