Jafri, the Sun Scorched (Character several year in the making)
Jafri, the Sun Scorched
Lore - Jafri grew up in the desert towns of Shurima, learning quickly that thievery and knife skill would befriend him better than any other person the desert had to offer. Honing his mastery of throwing knives and his quick wit, Jafri finds a place in the desert towns he calls home by roaming where his mercenary jobs take him. Some contracts are easy, others hard, but few brought the opportunities that his contract to join the League did. He now calls the Rift home, always mouthing off and displaying his highly honed skills to impress his allies in battle. In game this backstory is designed for his dialogue to be specific to each character the League has to offer. Bringing a "Peter Parker" styled moxie to the field in a "how to insult your enemies while beating them 101" moment.
Synergy - Jafri is designed as an AOE burst carry meant to find home in the bottom lane. With a small health pool and a shorter attack range, he finds it easiest to lane with someone who can let him follow up as opposed to taking the lead (Something he has to get used to). He works well with:
,
,
, and any other tanky support who happens to have a touch of cc.
Struggles against - Jafri isn't at all powerful like his moth would leave you to believe. He can have a hard time just as easy as having a struggle free lane. With a short range and a small health pool, he finds himself struggling against ranged poke that can stay out of his damage long enough to widdle him down. Struggles against:
,
,
,
, and any accompanying supports who fill the same role.

Where Jafri fits - League of Legends has plenty of bursty ADC options, as well as ADC options that provide good crowd control in team fights. So why would I submit the equivalent to another nameless face to the League? Well funny story, we are missing a niche piece of the ad carry puzzle that seems to have gone unattended for a long while. Especially in the expanding meta, there is room for plenty of lane and jungle options that lack strong re-positioning engage tools. Often times teams build around the idea of poking/sieging and controlling big open fights. But where does that leave champs that want to fight a compact team? Or those who just want to combo their big spells into narrow chokes? Positioning is key, don't get me wrong, but sometimes it can feel like a burden as opposed to a boon. So Jafri is an attempt to give an ADC the tools needed to really be a play maker instead of skirting the edges of a fight and picking off the closest targets. Not to mention that his lack of critical strikes opens a wide variety of build paths that are not offered to most other ADC's. I hope that everyone enjoys this, :)
