Oh boy, Caitlyn is frustrating to play against and honestly has nothing that actually feels unique about her. If she is ever strong in the current patch, then she is straight up oppressive due to low interactive elements in her kit and just straight up power without thinking to use it well or having error of misuse.

For this concept page, I will focus Caitlyn as a fun sniper marksman that actually plays differently to other marksmen, create something unique to her and better realize her sniper theme and perhaps implement some law preventing sprinkled in. The focus here is mainly on gameplay and fairness to go against, while offering better skill expression for the player, and be a lot more rewarding and fun for the player. Caitlyn and Tristana are some of the worst case marksmen for playing them when they are currently strong, not playing them because you want to, due to having overloaded kits and no focused theme of gameplay.

Attack Range: 475 units Movement: 330 units per second Attack Speed: 0.750 +2.5% per level Attack Damage: Average to Low

Reminder: Critical strikes double the damage of basic attacks.

Head Shot (Passive):

When Caitlyn does not attack, she gains accuracy to her shot, dealing up to 150%(+10% per 100AP) damage on her next attack. Maximum damage after 3 seconds of not attacking. At maximum power, Caitlyn ignores 35% of the target's armour.

Sniper Mode: Caitlyn activates her Sniper Mode after standing still and not attacking for 1.5 seconds, increasing her attack range to 800(+100%AP) units, but she disarms herself for 2.5(-1 per 100% bonus attack speed) seconds after firing this attack (minimum 1 second). Caitlyn is taken out of Sniper Mode when she moves. These attacks stop at the first enemy in their path.

While inside brush, Caitlyn readies Sniper Mode twice as fast.

Yordle Snap Trap (Q):

Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 seconds; Cost: 50/60/70/80/90 mana; Range: 1050 units

Caitlyn fires a trap to the target location, stopping at the first enemy champion in its path, rooting it in place for 1.2/1.4/1.6/1.8/2 seconds and dealing 20/50/80/110/140(+150%AD)(+100%AP) magic damage.

If the trap arrives to its target location, then it arms after a delay and roots an enemy champion that steps on it for 1.8/2.1/2.4/2.7/3 seconds and reveals for 6 seconds, but no longer deals damage. A maximum of 3 traps can be setup in play at one time.

Targets are immune to being rooted by Yordle Snap Trap for 2 seconds after being rooted by one.

Hidden Attack (W):

Cooldown: 12 seconds; Cost: 25/30/35/40/45 mana; Radius: 500/550/600/650/700 units

Passive: Caitlyn moves 10/15/20/25/30%(+3% per 100AP) faster inside brush. If this was her own brush, then it doubles to 20/30/40/50/60%(+6% per 100AP) bonus movement speed.

Active: Caitlyn grows brush at her location for 6 seconds. Her brush can become larger by attaching it with other brush.

(Casting Hidden Attack does not break her invisibility.)

Tactical Positioning (E):

Cooldown: 18/15/12/9/6 seconds; Cost: 40 mana

Caitlyn turns invisible for 1.5 seconds and charges her next Head Shot twice as fast. This duration indefinitely extends while inside brush.

While invisible, Caitlyn instantly readies Sniper Mode when she stands still.

Criminal Capture (R):

Passive: Caitlyn's attack speed cap is increased to 2.7/2.85/3.0 attacks per second and multiplies her bonus attack speed by 1.15/1.2/1.25 times.

Active: Caitlyn instantly enters Sniper Mode when standing still for the next 5 seconds and gains 200/350/500 bonus range in Sniper Mode. Being inside brush quickens the disarm time by 30/40/50% or 60/80/100% while inside her own brush.

Additionally, Head Shot charges 50/100/150% faster and her attacks reveal her targets for 2 seconds.
