Zurneos, the Void Chevalier

#Introduction

So I recently got the idea of wanting to create a Void champion based around a Skirmisher/Fighter type of playstyle, as right now, there's none.

I will be updating this concept with any missing info (Stats, Ability Scalings, etc.) after I do some number crunching, testing, etc. If there's something missing, it's most likely due to the fact that I've simply not gotten around to it yet, so bear with me, as I want to make this concept as thoughtful as possible.

#Short Lore

Zurneos used to be a knight of a highly regarded company. However, after an encounter with a voidling, he became obsessed with the Void. He wanted to know it's origin, and what power it held. So he journeyed to find a way into the Void, traveling the sands of the Shuriman desert, until he finally stumbled upon what he was looking for. He had found Icathia.

As he entered the Void, he was overwhelmed with a strong desire. This desire granted him the will to withstand the influence of the Void, and he learned to use the Void for his own personal gain. Now he wanders, looking for any who he deems worthy enough to fight him, though none have been able to live to tell his tale. To the rest of the world, he is simply a myth.

#Abilities

##Passive: Royal Decree

  • Every 3 minutes, Zurneos can select an enemy champion. Upon selection, that champion becomes marked by Royal Decree.
  • If Zurneos gets a takedown on a champion marked by Royal Decree, he permanently gains an additional 5 AD and 10 Movement Speed.

##Q: Void Lash

  • Zurneos strikes with his sword in a forward arc. Enemy units hit take a small amount of physical damage.
  • If Void Lash hits an enemy champion or non-epic monster, Zurneos may use Void Lash a second time within 3 seconds for reduced damage but applies a 30/35/40/45/50% slow for 1 second.
  • If Void Lash hits a third time within 1.5 seconds, Zurneos stuns the enemy champion or non-epic monster and he gains a shield equal to 5% of his Maximum Health (+1% per 10% missing health).

##W: Repeat Tactics

  • Passive: Zurneos's other basic abilities have half of their original cool-down. This passive is inactive while Energization is on cool-down.
  • Active: Zurneos instantly gains one free cast on one of his other basic abilities.

##E: Seeking Wraith

  • Zurneos becomes temporarily cc immune for 1 second and gains 50/52/54/56/60% Movement Speed.
  • If this ability is used a second time within 2 seconds, the movement speed bonus is increased to 60/70/80/90/100% and his next basic attack against an enemy champion or monster within 4 seconds will heal him for 2.5% of his maximum health (+.5% per 5% missing health).

##R: The Void's Champion

  • Zurneos chooses a target location within 5000 units. A loud warrior's horn will sound, and after a 3 second charge up, Zurneos will charge through a portal and exit a portal at the target location. Upon reaching his destination, Zurneos shouts, taunting all enemies for 2 seconds within a 650 unit radius and immediately enters Seeking Wraith.

#Build Paths

##Skirmisher item 3074 > item 3071 > item 3009 > item 3812 > item 3022 > item 3065

##Fighter item 3071 > item 3022 > item 3047 > item 3065 > item 3742 > item 3083

##Jungle item 1412 > item 3022 > item 3009 > item 3065 > item 3075 > item 3812

Personally, I feel like the Passive is too similar to Kindred. I do have some questions, however. Is the passive never-ending, or is this only applied once per champion?

Additionally, what if their E is down when they ult? Will they still get the effects of it? The E, also imo, feels like Fiora. The whole idea of increased movement speed cc immunity are a type of skirmisher feels too similar.

My overall opinion of the champion is good. I do like the champion, but some of the abilities are (a lacking a detail that could set them apart from other champions or (b they have a something about them that makes them too similar to other champion.

My final nit-pick is this. The champion's ultimate doesn't really make sense to me. I understand what the champion would do, but why would they want to get into the middle of the fray like that and have everyone gunning for them? That doesn't really sound like something this champion would want to do, especially since the champion has a sort of 1v1 aura to them. I mean, there might be something about this champion I don't know/understand, so if you could add/tell me that I would greatly appreciate it.

Now, for my praises. I do like how the W interacts with the rest of the kit. The W is what allows them to get the bonuses from their Q and/or E abilities. That was well thought out. I also like how the Q stacks and what each ability offers.

The lore is interesting... but it does break the laws of what the void is. There doesn't really seem to be anything about him that would allow him to be protected against the dark magic of the Void. Nor does anything about feel like it would be able to protect him from becoming a thrall.

These are my personal thoughts about the champion. I am trying my best at being constructive.

Hope this thread is not dead yet...

Great concept you have there, not too overpowered, and still unique/interesting. However, as was mentioned before, passive and R don't quite fit, at least for me. (ps never-ending MS boost wont work)

What I think are problems there: Lack of gap closer, lack of defense, no scaling on W. There are changes I would propose, (its just my opinion, no offence)

Passive: Instead of stacking attributes, create something more diverse. Example: Stacks same way but... When you hit enemies with abilities, gain 5/10/15 + 10 per stack MS and 1/2/4% + 1% per stack damage (taken) reduction, for 2/3.5/5 seconds. These bonuses stack while active, but dont refresh duration. Effect have 20/16/12 second cooldown.

Q: There I would give you gap closer. Example: Second activation can be done for up to 3 seconds, but broken if you attack other target. This reactivation slows for 30% and makes you dash for max distance of 500 units.

W: Example: CD reduction scaled per level, 25/30/35/40/45% On activation: Reset CD of last ability used, and your next attack strikes for 25/35/45/55/65 + 10/20/30/40/50 per stack damage

R: Just instead of taunt, apply Silence and slow (10/17.5/25%). At end of effect shield for 20/25/30% of damage taken and dealt for 1,5 second.
