Not much to gone on idea wise or the full picture but after watch an episode of Steven Universe a character named garnet who is a fusion of jasper and sapphire.I was thinking a champion of similar qualities could come out where you play as two champions could be twins like the ice climbers who's movements are copied in every step.Not much to go on except their ultimate is where they combine into a singular person and that their abilities are enhanced or changed.I couldn't figure out much else on what to go on but more of an idea.
