Shozai- The Master of Fortitude

Using a few more things gathered from my one of my previous discussions [(https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/6AHBXrjE-what-kind-of-champion-does-this-game-need)] I created another champion concept.

The boxes that I hope to check off with this concept are . The ability to negate burst . A more fighter centered support . Tanky in some aspect

Shozai is similar to lee Sin in the way that he is a monk who is an expert in combat. I imagine him floating above the ground in a meditative pose similar to Zenyatta from Overwatch.

Passive: Precise blows Upon being in combat with an enemy for 3 seconds, Shozai's next basic attack deal 20-150 (levels 1-18)+(2-10% Shozai's maximum health) additional damage and will have an additional effect based on what kind of enemy he is attacking. When this is triggered Shozai cannot trigger it again for 10 seconds on the same enemy AP Focused, 50% or more of build under abillity power in shop: Silence them for 1 second AD Focused, 50% or more of build under attack damage in shop: Disarm them for 1 second Health focused, 50% or more of build under health items in shop: Deal and additional 2-10% (levels 1-18) of their maximum health as physical damage. Armor focused, 50% or more of build under armor: Reduce armor by 15% for 3 seconds Magic resist focused, 50% or more of build under magic resist: Reduce magic resist by 15% for 3 seconds.

If enemy has more than one category as 50% of build this will tilt towards majority. If the categories are equal and fall under qualifications the outcome will be picked based on whichever falls higher on the following list.

  1. AP
  2. AD
  3. Health
  4. MR (magic resist)
  5. Armor

Q: Focused Front Shozai dashes a short distance forward, upon hitting an enemy he will deal 50/70/90/110/130+(5% Shozai's max hp)+(90/95/100/105/110% Shozai's attack damage) damage, as well as stunning the hit enemy for 0.5 seconds. note: this cannot go over walls dash range: 550 cooldown: 10/9.5/9/8.5/8

W: Will of Fortitude Shozai focuses his mental energy, becoming immune to damage for the next 0.25/0.35/0.45/0.55/0.7 seconds. If he blocks more than 30/90/150/210/270 damage he gains 25/30/35/40/45% bonus movement speed and immunity to slows for 3 seconds. cooldown: 30/27/24/21/18

E: Protector's Validation passive: Shozai gains 5/7.5/10/12.5/15% increased movement speed towards allies within 700 units of him.

Active: Increase armor and magic resist of all allies (including himself) within 400 units by 5/10/15/20/25% for 2/2.5/3/3.5/4 seconds. cooldown: 16/15/14/13/12

R: Shozai grants a shield equivalent to 150/300/450+(5/10/15%) of Shozai's maximum health to himself and all allies within 450/500/550 units. This shield lasts 3/4/5 seconds cooldown: 150/130/110

Reasons for the abilities

. I made his passive with the idea of encouraging aggressive play. Fighters have to stay in combat and this encourages him to stay in combat in order to have maximum effect. I scaled the bonus damage with Shozai's maximum health to encourage him to be tank.

. I made his q with the intention of giving him some engage and gap close in a fight. I also encouraged Shozai to build attack damage items as well as health to encourage both attack damage and tankiness

. I made his w with the intention of blocking burst which was one of the things I had to check off.

. I made his w to give him a more supportive feel as well as another way to negate burst. With this he can negate burst focused on his allies.

. I made his ultimate to, once again, block burst as well as give him and his team tankiness. I once again encouraged tank items with health scaling.

Counterplay: .Bait w, as it has a long cooldown and grants him escape options, by doing this you block his best basic tool for blocking burst damage. .Separate him from his allies as it will severely hamper the effectiveness of his e and r. .He is easy to kite as his dash is rather short ranged but despite this has a slightly longer cooldown. . He can't protect allies that are further than 550 units away, use this to easily pick off his squishier allies.
