Idk Why I'm writing this, since most people do not seem to really care about champion concepts on this site. But I was never one to give a shit about that, so let's do it anyways.

So, the story piece is kind of long. If you just want the short version, he was a kid with a talent for magic that was kidnapped by noxians during the Ionian-noxian war, tortured and taught dark magic, before he eventually grew powerful enough to free himself. He returned to Ionia, learned to control his magic, and inner peace, while constantly battling the darker side within, waiting to be unleashed. Now, for the full version:

**Jianx Zhei was, like many, Ionians, a victim of the war with Noxus. However, his pain extended beyond that of the death and loss most others faced. For not only was his family slain, his village ransacked, but he was also taken as a captive. For even at an early age, Jianx Zhei had an aptitude for magic, such that he managed to incapacitate three Noxian soldiers by himself at only eleven. Still, he had received little, if any training, and he was no match for them. But, the general who lead that particular force noted this powerful talent and thought that perhaps this child could be of use to Noxus. And so he was chained, and taken far from home, to the Noxian kingdom, where he was forced to learn and develop his skills under their mages. These mages were cruel, not only in that they punished him for the slightest mistake with harsh and swift violence and sharp insults, but also in that their teachings themselves were vile to him. Thought he had not learned much yet in Ionia, their way of life was still deeply instilled in him, and so the ways of tranquility, calmness, and balance were things were borrowed into his very core, and defined him as much as his name did. The Noxian mages cared little for these things, if not outright despised them. They taught him power, with little consideration for anything else. The power to take, the power to subjugate, the power to kill. He rejected these teachings, refusing to adapt to the Noxians merciless greed. And so, they punished him further.

They tore into his flesh with cruel tools, and starved him off food until he was too weak to do anything without his magic. Then, they delved into his mind, finding memories, and corrupting them. They told him that his families death was his fault, that if he had had the power to protect them, they would've survived. If he refused that power now, then he would always remain that weak. Weeks upon weeks he spent subjected to this torture, while in a dark tomb with nothing to do but contemplate what had happened. In time, he came to believe them, and he reluctantly accepted their teachings. Over the years, even long after the war had ended, he remained in Noxus, more a prisoner than a pupil, though he still learned much, and forgot just as much of his prior life. He forgot Ionia, the festivals they always celebrated before the war started, his parents, his siblings, all of it. Except for his name. They tried to replace that as well, but he refused to accept that falsehood. His name was the last anchor he had to remind him of what he had once been. And that anchor became his path to freedom. Because, the Noxian mages, in their foolishness, did not realize that the pupil would ultimately surpass his master, and so they toyed wiht him even after he grew more powerful than them. And when he was tasked with a most vile thing, to execute an innocent Ionian trader that had traveled to the main-land, and been taken by pure chance, he revolted. The task had been to partly torture him further, but also to test his allegiance. And that it did, and it showed that he still had a tiny speck of Ionia within him. For his magic lashed out, more on instinct than anything, as dozens upon dozens of dark, merciless hands sprouted out like tendrils from his back, fueled by his anger alone. They grasped their throats and choked the life out of his teachers, ripped their limbs part and crushed their bodies with a thousand blows. And in the end, he stood alone, an Ionian once more, but one tainted with the darkness of Noxus.

Eventually, the young Jianx found his way home, having escaped the clutches of Noxus. He returned to an Ionia where nobody knew his name, but he was still welcomed, as a brother against Noxus. He had feared that they would reject him because of what he had learned, especially since the dark hands that had slaughtered his masters still were attached to him, looming remainders of what he was. But they did not. Indeed, some even offered to teach him, to lead him onto the right path once more. Slowly, he began learning the ways of inner peace. The tendrils he had manifested never went away, but his new masters did not shun him for this. Rather, they taught him that power could be used just as well for defending, as for destroying, and encouraged him to use his newfound powers for something better. Something the Noxians would hate.**

Now for his appearance real quick: Dark robes like you see on most Ionian mages, with long sleeves that covered all of his arms, alongside a long mantel that dragged on the ground behind him. But most notably the tendril-arms sprouting from his backs. If any of you have seen or read Elfen Lied, the vectors in that series basically what I'm thinking. For those of you who haven't, imagine a person with half a dozen black, ethereal arms sprouting from their backs, constantly writhing about, and you have Jianx Zhei. A relatively simple design, but one I think would be quite unique. He would walk around normally, but whenever he gained a speed boost, and began running, he would begin using his arms to carry him forwards in great leaps, and he would also use them for his basic attacks, essentially sending out punches (As silly as that sounds). When he does send them out, with abilities or so, you would make the arms invisible, as to not clutter the screen, while also enlarging the fists, to make them more clear, as they're normally human-sized.

Now, with the lore and flavour out of the way, Jianx Zhei is supposed to be a ranged control mage, with a focus on kiting and safety over damage.

Stats: HP: 542 + 91 per lvl Health Regen: 6.5 + 7.1 per lvl Mana: 415 + 20 per lvl Mana regen: 10 + 1.1 per lvl Range: 550 Attack Damage: 60 + 3 per lvl Armor: 20 + 3.5 per lvl Mr: 30 + 0.5 per lvl Move speed: 330

Abilities

Passive: Way of the Dozen fists.

Whenever Jianx Zhei casts a spell, he gains Way of the Dozen fists for 5 seconds, preparing the full might of his tendrils. The next spell he casts while Way of the Dozen fists is active will have bonus effects. If a spell is enhanced with this effect, that spell does not generate Way of the Dozen fists, rather it will give him 20/25/30/35% (rising at lvl 6, 11 and 16) increased movement speed for 2 seconds if it reaches his target.

Q: Force strike

Jianx Zhei sends out several fists in a straight line, dealing 70/110/150/190/230 + 0.6 ap magic damage to all enemies hit, knocking aside minions, and stopping at the first enemy champion hit. That enemy champion will then be pushed away to the max range of Force Palm.

Way of the Dozen fists bonus: Deals an extra 10/20/30/40/50 + 0.2 ap damage to all enemies hit. Any enemy champion pushed away will also be hit by an uppercut, launching them into the air for 0.75 seconds.

Range: 800 units. Speed: 1700 Mana cost: 50/55/60/65/70 Cooldown: 9/8.5/8/7.5/7 seconds.

W: Grasp of might

Jianx Zhei adopts a defensive stance, shielding himself for 60/100/140/180/220 + 0.5 ap health for 3 seconds, and making him immune to displacement effects from enemy champions (such as Knockbacks or pulls) while the shield holds.

Way of the Dozen fists bonus: Shields him for an extra 20/50/80/110/140 + 0. 7 ap health, and makes him immune to all forms of crowd control while the shield holds.

Range: Self. Speed: Instant. Mana cost: 60/70/80/90/100 Cooldown: 10/10/10/10/10 seconds

E: Asphyxiating clasp

Jianx Zhei sends out a hand that in a line towards target enemy champion or large or epic monster. The hand will phase through other monsters and champions, and if it hits the target, the hand will grab onto their throat for 1.25/1.5/1.75/2/2.25/ seconds, dealing 30 + 0.15 ap magic damage every 0.25 seconds, and silencing them for the duration.

Way of the Dozen fists bonus: Tightens the grip further, extending the duration by 1 second, and also deals 0.5% of the targets max hp every 0.25 seconds.

Range: 800 units Speed: 1500 Mana cost: 90/90/90/90/90 Cooldown: 17/16/15/14/13

R: A thousand fists Unleashed.

Jianx Zhei unleashes all his inner power, channeling it over a duration of 4 seconds. While channeling, the area around him is bombarded by constant blows, randomly striking at enemies (though it always prioritizes enemy champions, and will only strike randomly if more than one is present) every 0.25 second, each strike dealing 25/40/55 + 0.3 ap magic damage. Each time an enemy is hit for the first time by this ability, they are stunned for 0.5 seconds.

Way of the Dozen fists bonus: Jianx Zhei can move during the channeling, and the Way of the Dozen fists movement bonus lasts for the entire duration, and an extra second afterward.

Range: 800 Units diameter Speed: n/a Mana cost: 100/100/100 Cooldown: 120/100/80

And there we go. Jianx Zhei has a fairly simple kit, but one that I feel still has room to be explored by innovative and skilled players, as well as obvious weaknesses to exploit mainly long cooldowns and short range. He's supposed to excel as a back-line protecting, peeling of big melee bois more than killing squishy mages or adc's. He might actually work better as a support than a mid-lane mage, which would be fine by me, though I think he can work in both roles.

While I will admit that some of his abilities may seem extremely powerful at first, such as his shield making him completely immune to CC, remember that using it for that purpose will surrender something elsewhere, whether it's more dmg, cc or mobility during your ultimate. The skill expression comes from tying together your spells in the most optimal chain possible for the moment, considering where you can get the most value, and such.
