Champion Concept: Illia, spirit of balance.
Ok I've been away from league for a long time, but let's try and warm up to it again with a quick champion concept. Forgive me if this has been mentioned before, I just found a way to restore an old kit to it's former glory.
Name: Illia Title: Spirit of Balance Sex: F Homeland: Ionia Role: AP Bruiser/support
Lore: Before there was three... There was only one. In the times before the Triumverate lorded over the balance of Valorian, order was upheld by the great spirit Illia. To some she was a blessed sight, for she would go to lands of suffering, bringing healing, food, and protection. To lands of abundant prosperity though, she was a being of ruin, where she would sow plague, famine, and death.
For a time this was all well and good, but as the lands grew, cities rose, and seeing the balance in black and white became harder and harder. Illia decided that her power alone was not enough to decide the ultimate balance of the world herself, and instead left others to fulfill her duties. She then went into slumber in a great statue, only to awaken when a great event would upset the balance to a point her followers could not challenge.
Today her statue crumbles, and her ancient work continues anew.
Gameplay:
Illia is a very versatile champion, yet to maximize her abilities one must learn to balance the use of her kit, knowing when to use her skills supportively, and when to use them. Her primary role is that of an anti assassin, taking their large damage potential and turning it against them.
Kit:
Passive: Life and Death "as life fades, the mask of death stares at the life stolen, and the thief who claims it" Effect: As Illia's health gets lower, she gets bonus AP to compensate. Usage: A master Illia player will know how to use this skill to its fullest, knowing a point of health where she can benefit from her passive, while not being so low as to be unable to survive a gank or other high damage attack.
R: Equilibrium "Balance matters above all else, to help some must require others to suffer" Effect: Illia empowers her next skill, her damaging skills will gain a support effect, and vice versa. 2 charges. First rank free at level 1. Usage: The core of her kit, use Equilibrium to enhance your skills to fit any situation, enhanced skills get the base effect and the equilibrium effect.
Q: Comfort and Agony: "Pain is a shared gift, those who have it shall be relived of it, those who don't shall receive it" Base effect: Illia shoots a cone of energy, damaging enemies within. Equilibrium effect: Allies within the cone will be healed as well, including Illia, for a % of damage taken + a small heal. Usage: a standard damage skill at its base, use it to wave clear and damage enemies, always try to get as many enemies as possible in it, and as many allies as well if empowered.
W: Unity and Discord "Those who unite shall break any foe, but to loathe thy ally breaks just as well" Effect: Cast on a target, for the next 4 seconds, any nearby ally will get a small move and attack speed boost. Equilibrium effect: Any enemies near the target will suffer a penalty to attack speed and movement Usage: Though it does not deal damage, this skill can cause a large swing in a fight, you can turn an ally into a vanguard, rallying his comrades and breaking the enemy morale. Or make a traitor of an enemy, making their presence a detriment to their team.
E: Protection and Destruction "My bulwark can suffer the mightiest of blows, as well as shatter those who challenge it" Effect: A strong base shield, nothing more. Equilibrium effect: Damages enemies nearby the shielded target equal to the shield health. Usage: at its base this skill will protect allies, it is also an excellent baiting tactic, lure an oppertunist into a low health ally, then blow them up with an explosive death shield, or simply block hard hits like ults. You can also use it to target a minion and push lanes, but take care as it does leave you and your allies vulnerable.
Needed Stats
- CDR
- AP
- Mana
- HP
Tips
- She starts of with relatively high CDs and mana costs, so play safely in lane as to not find yourself at a point with your skills on cooldown or a lack of mana to fight off a gank.
- She scales very well with AP, so the more you have the better.
- While she can support remember her heal is also AoE damage, try not to steal too many minions this way.
- No matter what lane you put her in she will wind up a very powerful team support late game, take heed of this in team comps.
Anyways that's me taking an old and tired skit and reviving it. Let me know what you think of the design for it and if you think restoring an old kit in a new body like this would be nice
