Nunu ranged and Willump melee! - Unique mechanic suggestion

Recently I heard there's going to be Nunu rework, and this morning I woke up with this idea to make Nunu work as both ranged and melee champion at the same time, and that would be something quite unique in the game. Nunu ranged attack could be controlled as usual auto-attack while Willump would be controlled or target prioritized with [E].

In short, it's like making [E] Iceblast function also as an auto attack without a need for precise manual control of each shot. Nunu could throw snowballs from moderate range and very slow attack speed, while the yeti Willump would have a usual melee attack. The behavior of attacks, attack speed and range and other effects for both Nunu and Willump could remain static, be adjusted by regular means or by unusual means, different for each of them. As a simplest example, Runnan's Hurricane would work on Nunu for 3 snowballs, while Willump could use Tiamat. Willump's attack speed could be improved by attack speed boosts while Nunu's with cooldown reduction.

An option for additional effects that could be implemented using this mechanic: After Nunu hitting a target with 3 snowballs, WIllump would throw huge snowball at that target with AOE and/or stun effect.

As the topic suggests, the main idea is a ranged Nunu with a melee Willump, so I tried to keep additional suggestions very basic. There's a lot of space to go wild!
