A Suggestion for the Change of Vlad's 'E' "Tides of Blood"
So the recent thread about the direction Riot is going for Vlad in the Mid Season Mage Update, Rioter Stashu said , quote "...We're looking to make it [Vlad's E] more of a risky ante in the moment, rather than over 4-5 casts. We want Vlad to be thinking 'how much health can I afford to pay RIGHT NOW?' and we want the ability to enable him to pay a LOT if he wants to, or a little if he doesn't/can't, offering him a proportional reward to the amount spent."
This got me thinking, what if his E were a charge up ability, holding down E to accrue more and more blood overhead him to be released with the button?
Here's how it would work: As you hold down your E, your health is drained and the blood lost is used to form an orb of blood above Vlad (a clear indicator that he his ability is active, allowing teammates and enemies alike to act accordingly). The blood is released as a circle to enemies around Vlad as his E currently is. As you leveled it up, the maximum amount of HP you could leech out of yourself would increase. After using the spell, he could be given a slow or some debilitating status in order to convey the weight of using his own blood (perhaps the slow scales in size with the amount of blood released?) I think this would add an interesting dynamic to Vlad as a champ both thematically and gameplay-wise.
If you have a suggestion that may improve Vlad's E, or your own separate change idea, please do tell! I seriously hope that Stashu or someone sees this, all I want to do is make Vlad as bad-ass as possible. :)
