New Champion + Proposed Lore update for Ezreal

Ezreals Champion lore sucks, and on top of that he has no enemies! Most all champions in league have an enemy or rival of sorts. So I think it’s about time they updated his lore by adding a new champion as his rival. My idea that I propose is a champion named Rider, the Tomb Robber.

Lore: Rider by trade is a Tomb Robber. He specializes in robbing loot from group’s bandits who typically store their recently acquired goods in caves or other hard to find arias. But his favorite places to hunt for expensive treasures are the various ruins throughout Shurima. His carrier in Robbing this remote arias began when we first meet Ezreal. Rider, being as charismatic as he is, talked his way in to gaining Ezreals trust. This happened back in Piltover. Ezreal invited Rider along with him to explore some of the ruins found in Shurima and Rider took him up on the offer. However, Rider had his own plans in mind. The night before they left he stole as many of the maps Ezreal had made that he could carry and stored them away. Ezreal was distraught when he found that his work had been stolen but did not suspect Rider at first. Eventually they made it to the ruins in Shurima and their adventure began. As Ezreal mapped the layout and paths of the ruins Rider was concocting his own plan that he attempted to enact when they came across an unknown artifact (the same as in Ezreals lore). Rider saw this as the opportunity he needed. Rider acted fast, and while Ezreal examining the artifact Rider laid down a few traps behind Ezreal and then drew his dagger. “sorry friend, but I’ll be taking that with me.” Rider said with a snarl. Shocked Ezreal turned around to see Rider with his dagger drawn. “Now hand over the map and step aside” he continued. Ezreal, unable to utter a word at the traitor handed over the map. Rider continued forward towards the artifact. Thinking fast Ezreal tried to take the artifact and run away to prevent Rider from succeeding in his plan, after all he needed no map to navigate because he remembers every map that he had ever made. In his attempt to run Ezreal fell prey to Riders traps and the ruins began to fall around him when suddenly he had reappeared on top of the falling rubble. Looking down Ezreal found that the artifact had attached itself to his arm. Realizing the power that it gave him he fought Rider trying to escape. Realizing that his plan had failed Rider Enacted his plan b, there is always a plan b. Rider set off a deafening explosion over Ezreals head and fled from the seen. After all, he didn’t need the artifact, he has all the maps he needed to truly take his carrier to new levels.

Abilities: Study: the more time Rider spends near an enemy Champion the more he learns about them and their strengths and weaknesses allowing him to deal increasingly more damage to champions that stay too close for too long.

Booby Trap: Rider Places a trip wire that when crossed damages and slows the target. When placed near a wall, upon activation the wall erupts and deals additional damage and stuns the target.

Secret Path: Rider “discovers” a secret path through a wall that he and his allies may use that will collapse over time. This path is not visible to enemies unless the path is in range of a pink ward or a sweeper. When it is revealed by an enemy they may use the path or collapse it by standing at its entrance. This paths do have a limit to their length. Ideally if you can flash over the wall you can have a secret path there too.

Set Plans in Motion: Rider stealth’s himself and gains increased movement speed and decreased animation times for his abilities allowing him to set up his traitorous plans.

Plan B: Plan B is for when Rider can’t smooth talk is way out of things which happens more often then he would care to admit. Rider lays a trap that detonates after a short delay. The proceeding explosion deals low to moderate damage depending on the distance from the explosion but also silences anyone in its radius for a short duration. Enemies too close to the explosion will also receive impaired vision from the blinding eruption.

His Role would be a Fighter/Tank who is adept at jungling and very efficient at counter jungling when he can predict a junglers path.

Let me know what you think and thanks for reading!

Hey Relyks22, I just saw your concept and I think it has some pretty cool things in it. I will now give you some sort of feedback on your concept since I am bored and have nothing to do. ^^

First look: Seems pretty cool concept for a character, but you could change the title into Rider, the Tombraider, since it is the correct word for the term, but do what you want. :d

Lore: It is interesting and unique. I think you don't have to change it.

And now to the kit! Passive: Seems like a solid mechanic, but it could have some interaction with his kit. If Rider is meant for jungle, I don't think this ability is the best option for him since when you gank you don't usually stay in the lane enough to gain maxium utility from this passive.

Q: I think you need some improvement on wording since I didn't really understand the text. It could bring some good CC to the table but I feel like it wouldn't feel really impactful in ganks. The name is also one thing that annoys me...

W: This ability would be really powerful. I mean, it could be a champ's ultimate to be honest. A Bard's magical journey which enemies can't see and can be travelled from both entrances. Bard's Journey is a basic ability because it can be travelled by enemies and allies, it can be seen, and it's only a one way trip. I think this ability should be scrapped unless it can be seen by also enemies or it has a very, I mean very short duration. Otherwise, it would be cool for ganking. :3

E: I have confusion here too, how long does the stealth last? It is a pretty cool ability and useful for ganks, no doupt.

Ultimate: It is a nice ability, but I don't think it needs a silence, maybe a stun or a heavy slow or something. The vision reduction would be cool, but I think it should maybe affect all enemies hit by the ability and the duration lasts based on the distance from the explosion.

Overall rating: You have a solid character here, though some abilities need tweaks and are not perfect. I think he should have more options for damage, as an example, stab an enemy dealing damage or deal damage to first enemy in a line. I would give it a 7.75/10.

Have a nice day!
