Welcome to the League of Legends Champion Spotlight featuring

(Splash art depicting Martin drawing blood from himself)

Martin, the Mad Medic.

(Martin is shown in summoner's rift. Martin is a white male human of a decently muscular build wearing slightly tattered green scrubs with questionable stains. In his left hand is a syringe, in his right a scapel. On his back is the Blood Bank, a large container half filled with blood, tubes from the container connect into his left arm. His hair is long and brown with a large streak of grey. His eyes are obscured, only his crooked grin is visible.)

Martin, once an exceptional med student that, after injecting himself with a mix of experimental medicine, developed blood with miraculous restoration properties. Driven mad by the side effects, Martin seeks to heal others by hurting himself.

In game, Martin is a risky sustain-based support who trades his own safety for the well being of his allies.

(Martin speaks: "Does it hurt? Tell me what it feels like!")

Martin's resource is blood, he is able to cast abilities using the blood he has stored in this blood bank or by paying from his own health.

(Minions die near Martin, his resource bar his highlighted showing the effect of the passive)

Martin's Passive is Blood Drive. Every time a minion dies near Martin he earns a small amount of blood for his Blood Bank. He also earns blood when he basic attacks enemies.

(Martin uses Q on a moving Riven. Before Martin can use it again Yasuo runs up and blocks it with this Wind Wall.)

His Q is Incision, Martin throws a scalpel briefly slowing the enemy while applying the Immuno Deficiency debuff, lowering their Magic Resist and Armor, while giving himself the Immuno Boost buff, increasing his Armor and Magic Resist by the same amount. This is a projectile based skill shot and can be blocked by conventional means

(Martin uses his W healing a nearly dead Vlad, this is shown twice; once paying from Blood Bank, again paying from his own health.)

Martin's W is Blood Donor, he heals an ally using his life saving blood. The ally targeted gains the Immuno Boost buff, while Martin receives the Immuno Deficiency debuff.

Martin can cast this ability on himself, healing himself and applying Immuno boost without the Immuno Deficiency debuff. If he does this he must pay from his Blood Bank.

(Martin toggles E on, veins become visible on his body and his stance changes slightly.)

Martin's **E **is Blood Bank, a toggle-able ability with a passive boost. While toggled off (or unlearned) Martin pays the cost of his abilities from his Blood Bank. While toggled on Martin pays the cost of his abilities from his own health and loses his health regen from all sources. His health regen is instead used to regenerate his Blood Bank.

It is worth noting that Martin will automatically pay from his own health if he does not have enough in his Blood Bank while this ability is toggled off. Leveling this ability increases the strength of Immuno Deficiency and Immuno Boost.

(Martin is shown standing next to Lucian, Lucian is hit with an Ashe ult and loses half his health. Same shot is shown again except this time Martin uses his ult; Both Martin and Lucian take decent damage. Lucian then shoots and slows a fleeing Ashe.)

Martin's Ultimate is Life Link. Martin connects himself to a nearby ally giving that champion 20/25/30% damage reduction while empowering their basic attacks to apply a potent slow and Immuno Deficiency.

(Skarner pulls Martin out of range breaking the Life Link.)

The ultimate can be ended early if either Martin or the target dies, or if the target is moved out of range. Martin is unable to use abilities during the duration but can use items or summoner spells to ensure he stays within range.

(Martin is shown using Ghost to chase Hecarim while using Life Link)

(Clips of Martin gameplay)

Martin's Kit is quite flexible and abilities should be leveled depending upon the game at hand. Otherwise, players should start with his Q to stop early plays before leveling W and finally E to round out his kit. E should be leveled up for the passive boost, the max out his W to make this mad medic feel good about his masochistic play style.

Martin requires protection to continue his lifesaving work. Health and Health Regen should be favored as it allows Martin to distribute his blood without running dry. Armor and Magic Resistance increase his survivability while also increasing the effect of his Immuno Boost buff. Add in some Cooldown Reduction to make sure the side with the most blood spilt is the enemies'.

I hope you all enjoyed that little bit of creative writing. I've been playing with the idea of a support that heals with his own health for a while now. I was meaning to work out some mock stats for him but seeing as Riot just put out a post talking about reworking Soraka so that her heals cost both health and mana..... Well, I figured, pitch the idea now or be called a copy-cat later. :P

The main idea around Martin's Kit is high risk - high reward; it hurts Martin to help others, but he prefers it that way, he is a masochist. His resource, blood, is only really there to prevent him from being defenseless against poke heavy lanes and allow him to have some agency when alone.

If you have any questions feel free to ask, I will respond the best I can.

This has potential. Though I think, the whole "Emo Cutting" might be a bit much. I know League of Legends is a T rated game, but that might strike a little to close to home, as far as real life scenario's go. But other than that, I think this champion could make it. Especially because of its unique, "Take from me, give to you" Health ability. I up vote this.

I think the big issue with this character is he falls into that group of "passive supports", with the likes of Sona and Soraka. You didn't talk about much of the specifics of the damage he'll deal, healing he's provide, etc, but with no cc until 6 (and even then, just a slow) this guy sounds like he's there just to heal. This type of support got nerfed and punished like crazy after they starting being the only supports played (last year i think?). Good concept though, I'm sure I would enjoy playing it, that's just my constructive criticism :)
