Why hasn't there been an illusion based champion? Although i have some ideas for abilities i dont really know how to balance out the damage,cd ,etc. for the champ. If anybody wants to build on the idea of an illusion based champion please reply in the comments.

Leblanc is supposed to be an illusionist (illusionary chains/doubles/disappearing and stuff), even though she isn't perceived as one. I guess it's pretty impossible to make a champ with more illusions for reasons like mechanics. And after all lb is filling this niche pretty much, since she's got incredible juke potential and if someone misjudges her he/she/it is dead without knowing what hit him/her/it.

LeBlanc and Shaco.

Not really sure exactly what you want that they don't offer. For any concept you have to think about more than just how it would play, but how it would be played against.

As previously mentioned, there's LeBlanc, Shaco and Wukong.

I'm assuming that your building a champ based off of deception? If that's the case, I think that concept as been pretty well explored by the previously mentioned. I really don't mean to self promote but perhaps a concept I worked on some time ago could give you some ideas? Either way I'd work on developing a clear and unique goal, with illusions being the tool your champion uses. Illusions shouldn't be included because "illusions".

Something like this, you mean?

As cool as I find this concept and as interesting as the play and counterplay possibilities I imagine for it are, I doubt we'd ever see something like this in game, for 2 reasons. First, all the interactions with other champion abilities would make this an ordeal to code, test, and balance, but more generally, Riot seems to be moving towards a small standardized set of gameplay styles in terms of champion design, presumably to reduce the disadvantage of fielding with unfamiliar champions. Take Karma for example... her old kit was really interesting and could be used to great effect, but it depended so much on coordinating with her teammates in unusual ways that most people didn't know how to work with her, leading people to think that she sucked. So, in response, Riot reworked her to be a solo-capable mage/support that requires no coordination with teammates to be effective. It makes me kind of sad, because this standardizing tendency makes the game less interesting in terms of strategic possibilities, but that also means that it has a less overwhelming learning curve for new players, so I can't really fault them for it.
