Passive - Magic Documentation: Instead of AD, Luddwen starts with AP and gains a small amount every level her basic attacks thus deal 70% of her AP as magic damage

Her base Attack range is 200, but increases based on her AP When she reaches 400 units, her Basic attacks become Ranged

Attack Range Increase: +50 Units P/15 Base AP

Q - Ink Chains: Luddwen opens her book and turns the words and letters into magic chains, stunning a single target Luddwen is Disarmed and Silenced while a target is stunned She can recast Ink Chains at any time, this removes the stun from the target but deals additional magic damage in return This will also occur when she moves too far away from the target

The base duration of Ink Chains is 0.5 seconds and increases by 0.5 seconds for every 100 AP Luddwen has

Using Ink Chains changes Luddwens Ultimate to Tome Reopen

The Delay is negated if Luddwen has less then 450 Units of Attack Range

Health is fine. Mana is a bit too high, lower to around 55 should be good. Ability power gain per level is a new mechanic and I'd like to expand on it in the future. Attack speed is fine. Movement speed is fine. Armor growth is way too high, not even tanks get those big juicy numbers, maybe lower them a bit? Magic resist is fine. Health regen is fine. Mana regen is also too high. In conjunction with her large mana pool, Luddwen would never have any mana issues. You say that she is "ranged" but has a 200 range? 125 is the typical range for most melee champions, with Darius and Irelia having a 200 range (both of which are still considered melee). I think you're numbers might be off a bit. You could say that she starts off as a melee champ and grows range (similar to Kayle), but I wouldn't classify her as being a ranged champion if she has less than 300 range (yeah, Rakan is apparently considered a ranged champion -.-).

Passive: Gaining ability power per level is new (as far as I'm aware), and no other champion has this. Converting her auto attack damage from physical to magical is also a new concept and would open up a lot of different team comps. Though, admittedly, I would like to see this done on an ADC champion, it's fine on her. I would probably also state that her auto attack damage comes from her ability power (unless it doesn't). Her auto attack range is directly tied to her base AP? That's a bit clunky, as there is no such thing as base AP. By all means, she could be the first to implement this stat, but I doubt it will be received kindly. I would suggest changing this part to instead increase with her bonus AP. It could be written in such a way as: "Ludden gains X-Y% auto attack range equal to her bonus AP," or something along those lines.

Q (Ink Chains): This ability is solid as it's written without the drawback (the disarmed and silence), unless it's wrtiten to be a point click ability, which Riot hates. There is no way they will allow a point click stun back into the game (even though Lulu has one, but shhhhhh she's cute). We have a similar concept with Amumu's Q and LeBlanc's E (which are skill shots) so I see no issue with this ability if you change it to be a skill shot. Thematically, I can see this ability referring to "writer's block" the in ability to advance in your literary endeavors due to lack of words/inspiration. I dig it! The duration of the stun totally doesn't have to scale with AP, it would be fine scaling as it levels, but there's nothing wrong with scaling with AP. Your cast range and maximum range don't add up. You are able to cast the ability 400 units away, but the maximum range of this ability is 200? @__@ I am confusion. I also feel like you're trying to use this "base AP" as a gimmick to make your champion a little more unique but it's actually just making her numbers very messy and inconsistent. The player base would have a HUGE learning curve trying to get to use to her ranges (which fluctuate throughout the game). The range of this ability is directly tied to her AP which means that you'll almost always have to play her with line indicator turned out and a lot of people don't like that. The best one tricks turn off line indicator because they memorize their champion's ranges like the back of their hand, but Luddwen players would almost always have to have it turned on. Be nice to others lol, keep it simple and consistent. That's always the way to go.

W (Barrier of Spells): Simple shield with some damage attacked to it. Very clean and unique. I like it. No concerns here.

E (Document): The passive portion of this ability needs to be seriously nerfed. It's basically Veigar's passive but on steroid. While Veigar only gains 1 AP from damaging a champion, Ludden gets 7 AP lol. Not only that but the active is a dash that makes him untargetable (lol why?) and if he passes through a champion he gains 3 AP x 25 = 75 potential AP in a single game. The fact that there is a limitation behind this ability makes it fair, but I doubt a ranged champion would actively seek to dash into enemies lol. I think this design missed the mark during creation, but it could easily be reworked into something that would function for a ranged champion. Perhaps it can function as a Caitlyn E, where if you hit the enemy champion you gain the AP. This way you can keep the dash, but don't have to go looking for trouble in order to gain an advantage.

R (Magic Slam/Tome Reopen): Nice concept that interacts with the rest of her kit- love it. I also love the duality of pushing or pulling based on the most recent spell cast. Personally, I would always find myself pushing away others (but that's because I loath human interaction).

My main concern is the ability ranges scaling with the AP. That's going to make for some very messy game play and the clarity of her abilities will be lost (p.s. Riot loves clarity). You can have her basic attacks scale with AP, sure, but her abilities should have a fixed range. Aside from that, this is a cool champion concept. It borrows a lot from mages, supports, and adc's but so does Kayle and they let her into the game lol. I would like to hear more from you. Any progress on a lore? I would love to work with you to fully flesh out your champion concept! Let me know if you'd like to be a part of a collaboration!

I could imagine this being a bit problematic with a couple of builds... 800ap with rageblade and nashors is most likely doable with her bonus AP from levelling up, fighting an enemy with 1000 auto attack range and dealing 150 bonus magic damage on hit with a rather high attack speed would not be win

Tomes and words are dope so I like this concept, but the first thing I thought of when looking through this was death cap would be insane on this champion and the auto attack scaling would have to take that into account so maybe 60% instead of 100. The second thing I thought of was the tome fighting aesthetic is a little to similar to ryze. My last thought was that scaling attack range is insane... and kind of the opposite of what this champion needs. The scaling in the kit is already pretty strong. I think starting with massive range that shrinks as he gets massive amounts of ap would be interesting and help keep him not decent at all stages of ine shotting squishies with auto attacks from senna range.

So this champion has no AD? What happens if they buy an item with ad on it? Does it convert to a different kind of star or just add the ad to its AA?
