So Riot recently added the new pings, like the cooldowns, timers, and even mana and health %. In my opinion I think it would be pretty cool if they added another ping where you can post your current gold in chat.

It is a good idea but there will be too many pings. It doesn't really give a useful information to your teammates. If you don't know what item you should buy, ask your teammates. But this is your job to know if you have enough money to afford it.
This is how I see the situation:
**SwagBanana22 **(Teemo): "What should i take first item?" **Teammate **(Ahri): "You should get Abyssal Scepter :D" **SwagBanana22 **(Teemo): Gold - 422 **Teammate **(Ahri): "Uh, ok you can't afford it yet... Then get it when you can... I think ?"
