Legendary 2, a follow up of the dark story.
A story follow up that I never thought would even be needed. But with the new skin reveals, I have to write it.
Never had ever taken such a heavy beating after someone losing a match with me involved... Guess they ran out of space to carve my head out of... Couldn't help but spit some blood once he was done... Sadly, because of the bleeding around my head, I was blind... I can't see a thing, only hear and feel... And right now I knew there were at least three summoners around me, two of them just watched while the third one, the one that guided me in defeat, started hailing at me. I lost count of the teeth I lost or the number of bruises I won at the cost of that…
Summoner: “You just don’t get it, do you? You either become useful or you’re no use to us! So what do you have to say for yourself!?”
Teemo: “I can’t be blamed, I’m as useful as your grandmast…”
I got beaten again, forced to cough up more blood.
Summoner: “STOP MAKING UP EXCUSES! If others can use you to get to places, so can I!”
Teemo: “But you’re not them, you made too many mista…”
Needless to say that I felt it again, no matter what I say, he won’t listen to reason…
Summoner: “YOU WORTHLESS PIECE OF…”
Summoner 2: “Easy now! You keep up like this and you’ll kill him!”
Summoner: “I should! He was never helpful to anyone! Why shouldn’t I just end his pathetic existence!?”
Summoner 2: “Because if he’s reported dead, your summoner rights get revoked and you end up in jail… Or worse!”
Summoner 3: “Although he can’t be reported dead if nobody finds the body.”
Summoner 2: “What the heck are you on about!? We can’t murder him! They’ll have our heads for it!”
Summoner 3: “Actually, they’ll have YOUR head for this. Because if you tell anything, we will deny and plant evidence against you. So you’re either with us or against us. Make your call…”
Silence hit the room, he was actually considering being quiet, I can’t blame him. Even I couldn’t think of a way to defend myself if I was in his situation.
Summoner 2: “If you get caught and it’s not my fault, it’s on you, I’ll probably just walk all the way out and live in Ionia. Probably hide away from everyone!”
Summoner 3: “Want to do the honors?”
Summoner: “Oh, I’ll do the honors alright!”
I heard him nearly pace himself fast, by the distant sound of his footsteps, he walked towards the table, normally bloodied because of the knife that keeps constantly being used to carve scars on me. I knew what he was about to try, he was going to stab me to death.
Summoner: “And now to finish you once and for all! Even if I get caught, the other summoners will see me as a hero! To do what nobody had the guts to do!”
I felt his hand around my neck, my breath quickening as I couldn’t see how far was the knife from my face. At this point, I nearly welcome it to end my life, the pain was too bearable and the blood was being lost at a fast pace. I would probably pass out in a few minutes. Next thing, I heard gunshots and the 3 summoners in pain. Including the one holding me as he let me go and I heard the knife drop. I just bounced my head back forward, panting from the lack of air. After the deafening noises happened, I heard footsteps. These were softer than the shoes the summoners brought, so it was either a child or a yordle. I just sighed once the footsteps stopped too close to me.
Teemo: “Did you come to drag me to hell like everyone else wants?”
The source slowly grabbed my chin and lifted me up, it spoke in a really familiar voice as it cleared the blood out of my eyes.
???: “No… I came here to save you from the darkness.”
Once the blood was clear, my suspicions were crystal clear. My old partner, the Bandle City gunner’s lieutenant was in front of my face… Different, but it was her alright. She wasn’t wearing any outfit I’d remember, she was wearing a red beret, more combat looking clothing, even a scanner over her right eye. I remembered the design… It was the same as mine… She was part of the Omega Squad. We said nothing as we stared at each other’s eyes for a moment, before she got behind me and untied me. I could finally feel my hands, even though the blood on my face kept trying to blind me.
Teemo: “Coming here was reckless, you should know better than this…”
I turned to face her again, holding my stomach from the earlier punching.
Teemo: “Thanks.”
She held me close all of a sudden, cleared the blood out of my face and kissed me. I looked at her, my look of a man who lost it all still lingering on my face as I took it in. She knew I wasn’t appreciating it, but it was normal… After the pain and suffering I’ve been through, she knew I would have a hard time feeling anything. She held me up once I nearly collapsed from numb legs, making me walk outside.
Tristana: “We’re risking a lot with this… Three summoners with murder attempts, but we can’t prove it because… Well…”
We both looked at the shot down summoners that once threatened to end my life. Only one of them made me feel bad.
Teemo: “They long stopped caring about me… So we’re not risking anything that we aren’t losing already.”
Tristana: “They didn’t know about the underground punishments… Even the higher ranked are baffled. So our best choice is to get you out of here and extract you back to Bandle. Get you patched up and let you rest.”
I couldn’t help but laugh.
Teemo: “You really think anyone can fix this mess of scars?”
Tristana: “Yes, I know a guy that can do reconstructive surgery, all we need is a picture. Might even make you younger!”
It was her turn to laugh, couldn’t help but smile at her keeping positivity. Brought hope to my heart slowly. We had to stop as she noticed a threat, upon cleaning the blood on my face again, I noticed a few more summoners who weren’t even in attire, and they were surprised to see me outside when I should be locked up. I knew immediately they were part of the underground group when their hands were creating fire or holding daggers.
Teemo: “I’m too wounded to fight them and unarmed… Think you can handle them all?”
Tristana: “I lose my guard and they’ll go after you…”
We both sat at a temporary stale as they slowly closed their distance on us. We thought about turning back and running, but we most likely wouldn’t make it due to the fact that I can’t run in my condition. We eventually backed away towards a nearby window. A familiar sound came to hit my ears even before it arrived.
Teemo: “Don’t you think calling for evac this early is risky?”
She smiled.
Tristana: “I didn’t…”
We both knew what it meant as we both ducked and a hail of bullets started shooting through the window, missing us all, but the summoners that blocked our path didn’t stand a chance as they were mowed down and collapsed on the floor. Once the hail fire stopped, me and her slowly got back up, she picked up the radio to answer it.
Tristana: “I told you to wait for my signal! You were supposed to meet topside!”
The chopper slowly turned its side to us as it opened one of the doors. Inside was Veigar, holding the radio, Fizz followed behind, but mostly there for transportation.
Veigar: “I was never one to take orders from anyone. Including from you and him!”
He placed down the radio as the chopper went upwards to the rooftop. I was a bit surprised, Veigar? Working for us?
Teemo: “What did you promise him to be with us?”
Tristana: “You really want to know?”
Teemo: “At least he’s not trying to kill me…”
That said, Tristana led me to the rooftop, we knocked open the door as we saw the chopper hovering around the building. The chopper slowly hovered several meters above the top, only to hear angry sounds coming from the stairs, Tristana had a short moment to block the door before grabbing me again. To my surprise, I saw Twitch descending from a rope, armed to the teeth as he covered our backs.
Teemo: “Ditched Zaun?”
Twitch: “I have my reasons.”
I didn’t bother to ask further as the chopper slowly made it’s descend, it was almost close enough for me to climb in when the door busted open and Twitch fired away at the rest of the organization. His bullets were poisoned, so anyone shot even once slowly crumbled when the bullet itself didn’t kill them. A few managed to use protect spells and tried to hit us, I slowly climbed inside the chopper with Tristana, she grabbed her weapon and started firing while Twitch climbed inside. Fizz pulled me deeper inside the chopper while Veigar yelled the pilot to get a move on! The chopper took a few hits, but nothing serious as they slowly hovered away from the tower. They closed the door and took a breather. Tristana immediately went to patch me up.
Tristana: “How you holding up?”
Teemo: “You need to ask?”
Tristana: “No, but I prefer to know you’re alive long enough to speak.”
Teemo: “Duly noted.”
I didn’t want to sound like an asshole, not to her, but it’s just been too much for me. I didn’t even think that arriving by chopper would be a thing. I then remembered seeing Fizz as well.
Teemo: “So Veigar, Twitch and Fizz… Why?”
Tristana: “We tried most yordles, but either they weren’t up to it or didn’t pass the tests. They did, and I was desperate enough to bring them. Better them than nobody, I couldn’t do this alone.”
I looked at the three of them. It was hard to imagine that they had their fun and smiles, as they wore the masks to keep them fit for battle. But I knew they had a purpose, for now I needed their help as I nodded at them. I got a few nods back and a cold shoulder from Veigar. Guess he took my interruption to heart when I stopped him in the past. However Fizz, looked out the window, looking restless.
Fizz: “I don’t remember a barrier around when we got in…”
Twitch: “You think it will harm us?”
We all got up to look outside to notice that the barrier was summoner made. They locked us in here with no way out. Before any of us could figure a way out, a blue ball appeared out of nowhere, a voice coming from it.
Orb’s voice: “Due to the massive amount of murders within the institute of war, all five of you are hereby charged of imprisonment and to proceed to the institute of War for trial.”
Veigar: “Trial!? They tried to kill us!”
Fizz: “I didn’t even do anything in this!”
Orb’s voice: “Failure to comply will result in drastic action and to the proceeding of the revocation of the champion’s partake in the matches and execution.”
Twitch: “Killing us for defending ourselves… And I thought that Zaun’s sewers stank…”
Tristana: “We need a plan, Teemo. You’re in no condition to fight!”
The four of them looked at me for a plan, I noticed that Tristana had brought my helmet with her the whole journey as I took hold of it and looked at it. I sighed, there was only one way out.
Teemo: “I’m in no condition to fight here… But in the Rift, I am.”
Veigar: “The… So your plan is challenging them to a Rift match?”
Teemo: “The charge is on all of us. Meaning none of us will be spared from their judgement. And if you think carefully, we’re all worth a team comp in the Rift if we play our cards right. So this is the only option you have where I’m not stalling all of us. Moment I get summoned, the fountain will fix me.”
I can see them considering it, thinking hard about any objections.
Tristana: “Not much of a choice, if we refuse, we’ll be killed”
Veigar sighs annoyed.
Veigar: “If I live long enough, I’m going to destroy a town just because I can.”
He places a hand over the blue orb, knowing that once they all touched it, they’d get teleported by summoner’s command.
Fizz: “Well, I’m not missing out on anything, and if they want a reason to execute me, might as well give them one.”
Fizz joins his hand with Veigar’s.
Twitch: “Hmm, might as well settle for a fight. Get some dirt on them if I get the chance.”
Twitch does the same with the others. Tristana thinks it through and nods, joining hands.
Tristana: “I fought hell to bring you with us, I’d rather fight than to let them take you away again!”
The four looked at me, waiting for my hand. So I made it settled, I wore the mask again, back into the comfort of false eyes.
Teemo: “Let’s roll out then!”
Moment I joined my hand with my squad’s, the orb glowed and a blinding light happened. Next thing was the whole group in some sort of court room. Some were already prepared to face us in case we tried something, but a few stared down at us, including some of the grandmasters, who wore red robes unlike the common black ones from the summoners. The grandmaster in charge of court smacked his hammer before starting the session.
Grandmaster Judge: “Teemo, the swift scout. Tristana, The Megling gunner. Veigar, the master of evil. Twitch, the plague rat and Fizz, The tidal trickster. You’re all here present to the official court of the institute of war for the genocide of several summoners…”
Fizz: “Again, I’d like to point out that I never harmed anyone.”
Grandmaster Judge: “…And assisted genocide by neglecting to stop the true killers.”
Fizz: “Oh…”
Grandmaster Judge: “The death of summoners dedicated to keep the peace and balance among this fine land of Runeterra…”
Veigar: “My ass…”
Grandmaster Judge: “…Must not be left unpunished. And such genocide is a heavy crime that at worse case, can sentence you all to the removal of the League and death by public execution.”
Tristana gulped at the idea of that happening.
Grandmaster Judge: “So, now that all five of you aware of the crimes that were committed against the institute of war and its summoners, it’s time to listen to how all of you plea.”
Teemo: “We plea ourselves guilty.”
Silence hit the room, even my team mates just looked at me in hopes that I was either being serious or that there was a follow up.
Grandmaster Judge: “In that case I…”
Teemo: “Of defending ourselves against the corrupt people in your care that did nothing but harm me day after day, carving me like a pumpkin, harassing champions for not doing well, when it’s not their fault that they can’t control us right! Half your group is corrupted to the bone!”
Rambling started to happen in protest before the judge smacked his hammer.
Grandmaster Judge: “Order in this court! Teemo, you do realize the accusations you’re making against us, correct? For starters, how can we be sure you didn’t inflict your own wounds?”
Silence hit the court again, all eyes on me as I did what I had to do. I removed my mask, causing another rambling as they all saw the mess of scars that I ended up from the abuse, I wasn’t bleeding anymore thanks to Tristana patching me up. I placed the helmet back on once the judge smacked the hammer harder.
Grandmaster Judge: “ORDER IN THIS COURT, I SAY!”
The judge fixed himself before resuming.
Grandmaster Judge: “Regardless, there’s little evidence of summoners doing such a thing to you, since those could have been done by your allies as well.”
Fizz: “How dare you!?”
Veigar: “I know I’m the master of evil, but even I think that’s messed up!”
Grandmaster Judge: “So… That said, with little evidence, the least I can do is reduce the senten…”
Teemo: “I’m challenging your best summoners for a Rift match!”
Silence hit again as they thought about my proposal.
Grandmaster Judge: “You know what you’re asking? And how will that ach…”
Teemo: “The highest ranked summoners tend to be tilted people to the bone, most end up becoming monsters of men. If I can prove that some of your summoners are as corrupted as I claim, then when me and my team beat them down, they will do nothing but complain and blame others!”
The crowd starts to ramble again, this time the judge went easier on the hammer as he thought about Teemo’s proposal.
Grandmaster Judge: “If you somehow can show light upon those, we can start an investigation on summoners. However, you have to prove that you can indeed show how far these summoners would be willing to go to beat you, even if it means breaking the summoner’s code. You five will be put against a match right away. Decision will be done after the match.”
He smacked the hammer and a bright light teleported me and my squad to a random room, the waiting room for when summoners and champions prepare for the upcoming match. Problem is that because of lack of summoners controlling us, the room was pitch dark. Since our helmets had night vision, even Tristana’s eye scanner, we had no problem in finding each other in the dark.
Veigar: “So we’re about to enter a Rift match to defend ourselves… I hope you have a plan on how are we going to convince good players to feel tilted.”
Teemo: “For starters, the roles. I’ll go top, Fizz you stay mid, Twitch is our jungler since he’s still viable there, Tristana and Veigar got bot. I have a couple of plans ready to start out. Reemmber, our objective isn’t to win, but to prove that those summoners would do anything… And I mean ANYTHING to destroy us.”
Fizz: “Sounds like a plan.”
Tristana: “Alright, let’s do this then!”
Another blinding light happened as we all were teleported to the summoner’s Rift. By outside view, this counted as an advanced bot match, so not many would care to notice what this match would entail for the five of us. We both left our summoner’s circle and made our move.
Blue team perspective.
Kayn: “So, who are we fighting against today?”
Malzahar: “That would be three yordles, Fizz and Twitch. And apparently they’re here with no summoners, meaning we have the advantage of coordination of the institute of war.”
Kayn: “Easy peasy then.”
Caitlyn: “I wouldn’t count on it.”
While Malzahar and Kayn were not wearing any skins, Caitlyn was wearing her pulsefire skin, followed by Soraka who was wearing her program skin and a Warwick in his tundra skin.
Warwick: “Why do I have to work outside my jungle!?”
Kayn: “Because summoners know talent when they see it, they want someone that can they actually rely on.”
Warwick: “You? Reliable? Bah! I’ve seen snacks more reliable then you!”
Kayn: “Then allow me as I’ll go to steal their blue. You watch.”
Caitlyn: “Don’t do anything rash! We’re here under official summoner business!”
Kayn: “I’ll be back to our red in no time with the blue buff, relax!”
They had no choice but to take their lanes as they hoped for Kayn’s awesome blue steal of the divines. He slowly did what normally you’d only do as a team, he approached from behind the blue buff’s wall, he was about to take the corner that leads to our blue buff bush before me, Twitch out of stealth and Tristana with Q used aimed our guns at him, like a firing squad with attack speed steroids on the works. Kayn turned around and ended up meeting with Veigar with his stun still up in case he tried to wall run his way out, plus Fizz there just to poke him for the assist.
Kayn: “Ah, you little rascals…”
Announcer: “FIRST BLOOD!”
Warwick: “HA!”
Cait and malzahar just sighed annoyed while Soraka was mostly worried.
Soraka: “Tristana got the kill and the 400 gold, this won’t end well for us.”
Cait: “We just have to avoid mistakes, we should be able to get them later on.”
All five of us went back to our lanes, Twitch had a good first clear as Tristana and Veigar arrived by the time their minions were half HP, Fizz had a decent start while I tried to make sure I could survive Warwick’s sustain. I might have to adapt my build for this. Several minutes happened, we all had our ults, Kayn managed to get a few failed ganks from top and mid while Twitch just helped bot and mid get his team mates fed. We had a decent score as I was having a hard time beating warwick, even if I rushed executioner’s calling first item to counter his heals. At one point, Kayn hit me up with another gank again, his damn wall walks are getting on my nerves. They did a dive, took Kayn’s life, but warwick took me out.
Warwick: “This yordle is getting on my nerves… Can barely compare between him and Kayn.”
Kayn: “Difference is that you’re both even in score, difference is that I’m resetting his gold so you can still gain more out of him.”
Warwick: “Shut up!”
Meanwhile mid lane, the two mages were trying to harass each other, Fizz having a slightly harder time due to being meele, but didn’t stop farming. When Twitch arrived again for a gank, he managed to land his fish and get another kill, he was on the right track.
Fizz: “Hopefully this should be enough, you better take care of Teemo, he’s not doing too well.”
Twitch: “Indeed, just don’t do anything rash…”
Twitch entered stealth after saying that, heading top. Meanwhile bot lane, Tristana and Cait were duking it out, sometimes managing to outtrade her as Veigar placed the cage to stop her from just jumping away, allowing Tristana to deal damage while Veigar gained AP from his harass.
Veigar: “Eventually I won’t be needing anyone to destroy them!”
Tristana: “Just don’t get too cocky, remember, we have to prove that their summoners aren’t as innocent as they claim. We need to trigger them somehow without being jerks about it.”
Veigar: “Not a problem once we reach late game.”
The match raged on, I lost first tower due to the constant camps, but kept my cool, even though Warwick was still unhappy about things. Fizz and Malzahar lost each other’s towers in the incident while bot destroyed bot tower, Cait barely held it while Soraka couldn’t stand the damage, she was behind. We all grouped for now for several team fights, we lost a couple trying to take towers, but won most taking dragons and baron once. We had the potential to finish this fight, but we knew that wasn’t our goal.
Tristana: “Hate to say it, but this match isn’t gonna work… They’re all trying to remain calm, like they were tipped off on the trial!”
Teemo: “Warwick and Kayn has been on each other for quite a while, maybe we can spark any fights between them to trigger one of them.”
Fizz: “Malzahar has been frustrated that we’re doing good, he might crack.”
Veigar: “Same for Soraka as we manage to kill her first in all team fights.”
Teemo: “As much as I hate to say it, we might have to throw the game so we can bring our plan to fruition.”
Twitch: “You’re kidding, right!?”
Teemo: “This game was never about winning or losing, but to prove that summoners will do anything to destroy us… Even turn on each other. We crack one, the rest will crack and thus evidence is shown.”
Tristana: “Guess we should just split and let them pick us off one by one. Give them hopes.”
Fizz: “Sounds like a plan, I got top. Last one to their inhib is a rotten egg!”
We splitted as told and started pushing alone or in duos, I already heard the first call.
Announcer: “Shut down!”
Tristana and Veigar died pushing bot lane, they could push that lane, but they knew we were pushing. The plan resumed as we heard the next call.
Announcer: “Shut down!”
Twitch had died mid as he got their inhib tower, but failed to get their inhib. I already felt the tension as me and Fizz took down their second top tower, before we could realize, they had a hard time killing us without ult, we took two of their lives before they shut us down again. This allowed them to barely recompose.
Warwick: “Kayn and Soraka died again… Pathetic…”
Caitlyn: “They were behind, it was inevitable, and at least we aced them.”
Malzahar: “If Warwick tanks, we might be able to baron as well.”
Warwick: “Finally, something smart out of this!”
Caitlyn sighed as the three managed to do baron, warwick’s sustain making sure he was kept in check. They started pushing mid with 3 barons up, the others weren’t alive to obtain it. We gathered our bearings after we made our buys.
Twitch: “Okay, so 5 shutdowns, that makes… 2250 gold more for the enemy team. Plus the fact they have baron nashor. Still think this was a good plan?”
Teemo: “We just have to stall them and deny them the objectives. They won’t be happy if they can’t finish the game before nashor’s ends.”
Meanwhile…
Kayn: “You just couldn’t wait for me to get back on stage to help with the baron?”
Warwick: “Like you would be of any use to us with it!”
Kayn: “Hey, at least I’m not the one being a dick about it.”
Soraka: “Just both of you shut up. You’ve been nothing but a headache this entire match!”
Malzahar: “Agreed, I’m starting to prefer the company of mindless voidborns than you two…”
Kayn: “Nobody asked you, old man.”
It was clear that their morale was dropping and all were close to cracking. Caitlyn seemed to be the one still barely handling. They managed to take down mid inhib tower and inhib, we were at a stalemate, they had to get past us to get our nexus towers. The fight started and things went south immediately. Twitch was the first to get picked off and Caitlyn killed her, next went Twitch, then Fizz who got ulted by Malzahar…
Announcer: “Enemy Triple kill!”
Teemo: “Wait a minute…”
Cait managed to score her quadra on Veigar as he accidentally stepped on a trap on his run and got show in the back.
Announcer: “Enemy quadra kill!”
I noticed that Cait was now a bit possessed, she wanted the penta, ignoring the towers as she tried to go for me, she still had ult as she used it while I was only 100 HP… I saw Kayn move at me.
Kayn: “Time to take out the rat!”
I knew what I had to do as I ran to Kayn, but didn’t attack him, I offered him the kill, and in his earlier frustration, he took it!
Announcer: “Ace!”
The game felt cold, all five of us would lose as I hoped for it to happen, it had to… And it did. Caitlyn dropped her rifle to the floor and her summoner started forcing Cait to spend a couple of minutes swearing! Her summoner broke and was flaming! She went from racist remarks, to murder threats to general flame spam! Nobody else in the game was focused on the objectives as Cait’s summoner showed a true sign of toxicity and disrespect. Once that happened, the match ended prematurely!
We ended in the post-game room, where all summoners and champions would meet up for an after game analysis. Before anyone could say anything, Cait’s summoner started yelling at Kayn’s summoner. Meanwhile Caitlyn was having a headache over all of this, the others worried about her, even Kayn who didn’t give a damn before as he felt awkward by what happened. After a while, Cait’s summoner turned to Teemo.
Cait’s summoner: “You little bastard! I’ll kill you!!!”
Without hesitation, he turned on me with hatred in his eyes, but the judge showed up and knocked him away with little effort.
Grandmaster Judge: “So… This is what you have been through all the time…? This hatred… This… Complete lack of respect for your wellbeing… How long has this been lasting?”
Teemo: “Since the day I was part of the institute’s champions… Sir.”
The judge shook his head in disappointment and with a snap, had the summoner ordered out of the room. Knowing their fate, they most likely ended up banished from the institute.
Grandmaster Judge: “And those you killed…?”
Teemo: “I can’t speak for all of them, but most were in their little organization.”
He sighs as he thinks this through.
Grandmaster Judge: “I suppose I do owe you an apology, so in my behalf, I will try to undo the mistakes that have happened. I actually planned ahead of the official pardon, so here…”
He hands Teemo a document.
Grandmaster Judge: “I will take you back to your base. Hopefully I can expect you all in the Rift on request?”
Teemo: “You can always count on us, sir.”
My team nodded even thought they were a bit reluctant about it. Without further word, we ended back to Bandle city, most yordles there were happy to have me back, worried sick about me. After the 20 minute greeting, I managed to get to my old office, followed by my squad.
Twitch: “Finally that’s over…”
Veigar: “Couldn’t agree more.”
Fizz: “A successful mission as a squad, and we might have shaken up the institute enough to make them think twice before acting like that.”
Tristana was silent tough, staring at me, I still held the document.
Tristana: “Aren’t you going to open it?”
Teemo: “I don’t even know if the contents in this scroll can fix all those years of pain and suffering. I feel like they might just be mocking at me.”
She sighs, the rest just curious.
Fizz: “Well, maybe they’re not… I mean… Can’t be any worse than what you have… Maybe they’re just offering to pay for what those summoners did to your face. So you don’t look like… That…”
Twitch: “Just open it for once… If it’s money, I’d gladly take my share.”
I sigh, seeing them having good and bad reasons for me to do so. I slowly detach the seal of the institute of the war and open the scroll, the next few seconds was silence as I read the contents. Once I was done, I slowly removed my helmet again, among my scars was a face of pure shock as I read it again and again to make sure it was correct what I just read. They clearly noticed it.
Veigar: “Well!?”
I slowly looked up at them.
Teemo: “I’ve been scheduled for a VGU tomorrow…”
It was their turn to be shocked… Teemo, the most hated champion in the league, finally getting any good treatments from the grandmasters? I didn’t believe it either, but reading it several times made it slowly more and more true. I just sat there, confused but somewhat glad. The next day came as I was outside the medical office. Only Tristana was with me at the moment, she was back to her dragon trainer skin as she pet Riggles. Even Riggles was somewhat happy to see her and me, even though I was back to wearing the mask so I didn’t freak anyone out with my looks. Eventually the door opened, Kennen went outside to talk to me.
Kennen: “It’s time, Teemo…”
Inside I saw Shen already washing his hands for surgery while Akali made sure all instruments were there. By the looks of the inside of the room, I wasn’t the first in there… And doubt I’d be the last. I got up and looked at Tristana. She just left a hand on my shoulder and nodded.
Tristana: “I’ll be out there, waiting for you until the end…”
I didn’t resist but to hug her, she hugged me back and Riggles leaned against my feet. We let go as I followed Kennen into the room, I gave Tristana one last look, she could see my mess of scars once my helmet was off for the last time before Kennen closed the door. Tristana sat on the chair, and one question on her mind…
“What would happen to me?”
