Champion Concept - Beta, The High Performance Synthetic

Health: 510 - 1950 (+80 per Level) Health Regen: 5.9 - 16.7 (+0.6 per Level) Mana: 350 - 1178 (+46 per Level) Mana Regen: 6.25 - 20.65 (+0.8 per Level) Ranged: 550 Attack Damage: 38.6 - 83.6 (+2.5 per Level) Attack Speed: 0.658 (+ 0 – 59.5%) Armor: 29.5 - 79.9 (+2.8 per Level) Magic Resist: 30 Movement Speed: 330

Abilities:

Passive: Directional Shield

Beta has a directional shield which rotates around 25% of her. This shield blocks all projectiles and any damage dealing source coming from that direction. The circumference increases to 40% whenever Beta falls below 50% of her max HP. Whenever Beta uses an ability, this shield moves in front of her depending on the placement of the cursor for 2 seconds before it begins to rotate again.

Q: Mobile Attack Drone

Beta summons a small drone and directs it towards target location. The drone stays in the location and when activated, makes 3 attacks against enemies (prioritizes champions) within a 400 range over every 2 seconds that they remain in range dealing 15/18/21/24/27(+30% Ability Power) and beginning its upkeep cost (drones are disabled as long as Beta is below 5% of her total mana). Beta is able to place a max of 2/3/4/5/6 drones at a time. They are only removed when they are destroyed. The drones have a max HP equal to 15% of Data’s total health. Drones cannot be placed within overlapping ranges of each other.

Range: 625 Cooldown: 9/8/7/6/5 Mana Cost: 35/40/45/50/55 Upkeep Cost: 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 mana/second/drone

W: Booster Injection

Beta injects an ally with an enhancement serum which greatly improves their performance. On cast, the target’s speed is increased by 30% for 2 seconds and any attacks or damaging abilities that target uses deals extra magic damage equal to 25/27/29/31/33% of your current Ability Power. This ability’s cooldown is reduced by 2 seconds for every kill on a creature or champion that target gets while affected by this.

Range: 300 Cooldown: 19/18/17/16/15 Mana Cost: 50/59/63/67/71

E: Sensor

Beta places an electronic sensor which reveals any hidden object within range. On cast, deploy a small sensor for 2/2.5/3/3.5/4 seconds which reveals any invisible creatures or deployables (such as wards, invisible champions, etc.) within its range. Anything revealed this way becomes invisible once again after this spell’s duration runs out.

Range: 450 Cooldown: 20/19/18/17/16 Mana Cost: 45/50/60/65/75 Sensor Range: 250

R: Barrier Generator

Data places and activates a large dome shield around herself protecting others inside. The dome lasts for 2/3/4 seconds and blocks all projectiles and damage dealing sources from coming into the dome but projectiles can be fired out of the dome and damage dealing sources that occur inside the dome ignore it and reach outside. Enemy champions are silenced while inside this dome. Additionally, any ally champions in the dome when it disappears gain a directional shield identical to Beta's in the size that it was when this spell was cast initially for 3 seconds.

Background/Lore (Just quick insight, not my full backstory):

Beta remembers where she came from very clearly. She very easily remembers the pings and startup sounds from within her when she came online for the very first time. She remembers looking in her creator’s face, at that unique hair that looks like it’s ablaze. She remembers looking forward and seeing her body for the first time, strewn out across a large bed in the midst of a large laboratory she can only recall as home. She fully remembers her first steps as her creator helped her off the bed with his small little arms, she remembers being led out of that room through the rest of the seemingly abandoned building to the outside world. She can remember the large pristine towers looming over her, the busy streets full of lively people all uniquely designed themselves in both appearance and motive. She can remember her motive most of all however. “Mission objective,” she heard a small voice in her head speak, “learn.” It finished. Without another thought, she let go of the man’s hand who she knew was known as Heimerdinger as she began to walk through the streets, unaware of where she was going, yet, she felt like she wasn’t exactly lost either. She just walked, and took in all that she saw in all of its beauty.

I'll probably add on more story to this but this is my concept of a champ I'd enjoy. Let me know what any of you see this think! :D

Hey, this is actually a pretty cool kit, and a neat concept!

Here, I'm going to break it down, and leave my two cents. I assume the role she's meant to play is support.

  1. The Passive:

It's a cool idea and its relatively balanced, but it seems pretty chance based. It doesn't allow for much player intuitiveness or interaction on the players part, and the enemy can just wait for it to rotate. Perhaps add some player interaction elements to it? Rito loves that kind of stuff.

2: Q Spell

I have always loved the idea of zones of denial. However, I'd add a timer or mana per second cost. Indefinite zone protection with no cost sounds pretty OP. Perhaps have it so that it costs 1 Mana per second per drone? This would make for cool builds, such as item 3070 item 2301 item 3165 for the base. Tear needs more love. If you don't like that option, you can make them last something like 10/15/20/25/30 seconds.

Also please tone down the AP scaling slightly. Because I'd just max Q, build full AP, hide them all in a bush, wait for someone to ward it and watch them die to six drones, which when combined have 300% AP worth of damage in one round of shots.

Also, this type of spell is just designed for a charge system.

3:W Spell

A cooler Nunu E, which has always been a good ability.

However, I'd turn this ability into a tether, which means as long as the ally is tethered to Beta during the duration of the spell, the ally gets the effects. If she breaks the tether, it removes the effects. This makes the spell reward staying close to Beta.

4:E Spell

I've always wanted an ability like this. No real critique.

5:Ultimate

I actually really think this is a really creative but balanced ultimate. Love it! I'd tone down the duration though. Probably around 2.5/2.75/3 seconds.

Pretty cool, this concept and alpha have given me an idea for two champions that I'm going to start working on. I'd totally play this champion and have fun with it.
