LoL Trading Cards

I, myself, have never actually had a hobby of collecting stuff. I always found people who collect stuff like Pokemon trading cards fascinating for some reason. I was wondering if everyone would be able to share their thoughts if Riot made a LoL trading card collection.

Things that could be done with the cards: Common cards could be champions Rare cards could be ordinary skins Epic Cards are epic skins etc.

I can't help thinking of it. League is my most favourite game, how sad it may sound to some people. But I have nothing to show for it except digitally. Can anyone share their opinions, please? Be gentle as well, I'm quite a wimp when it comes to criticism xD

I feel like there'd be potential to expand Runeterra through a card game more than the moba itself, tbh.

For example:

Piltover and Zaun use Hextech and Chem-Tech, respectively, but we only see a small fraction of their total technological prowess.
We know Shurimans have the path of Ascension, but very little about their actual culture or how that path actually works.
We know basically nothing of the shadow isles other than that they're ruined now, and haunted af.
We know Ionia is about their Orders, Wild Magic, and all sorts of stuff like that, and that not all of them get along, but we don't really have any fineries.

I could probably attempt to make such a card game, tbh...I've made a TCG before...well, it's still in alpha and I wasn't the main creator, but I helped a lot, and I can probably make something very playable.

Hell yes, I would love this.

Give me a Piltover/Zaun deck, with hextech/chemtech upgrade cards! Give me Urgot and Camille as super rare and powerful champion cards!

League of Legends has absolutely awesome art and it would look so great on trading cards.

i always wanted to collect trading cards... when i finally started with yugayoh i realized that they cost more than i got pocketmoney for 3 months.

I could picture it now.. the shiny cards are prestige addition. Mark my words!!! Love the idea though

Honestly I'd be ok if Riots next game was basically an online card game for league of legends.

However I'd be against your suggestion for the rarity.

The champions should be rare themselves,because after all they are some of the most powerful and influential beings in all of runeterra, so it'd feel really out of place for them to be basic fodder. Instead they should make a lot of cards that are based on the lore of LoL, like demacian knights, noxian gladiators, zaunite gangsters, etc. That way they can flesh out their world, while also providing a lot of variety among the cards instead of them being the same champions over and over again.
