Nunu Rework Concept

This concept I am thinking of a snowball flinging support or jungler (so Nunu's current positions) with a greater emphasis of an angry and always hungry yeti, named Willump, that plays a bigger role than just about eating minions and monsters.

Two things, besides implementing new abilities, will be:

  1. Consume should just be the passive since it never feels like an interesting ability for the player, but something I do feel is unique to Nunu and Willump. More details on this in a bit.

  2. Absolute Zero (ultimate) has good and bad gameplay to it. The unhealthy gameplay is it being invisible because Nunu is in brush and then people get one-shot, this is not healthy gameplay at all. I think Absolute Zero can stay, but fix up the game health issues which then allows for improvements to the ultimate to help it out. I don't know what the changes should all entail, but the one thing that needs to happen is have the ultimate always visible just to fix the game health problems that it has for better game clarity.


Attack Range: 125 units Movement: 360 units per second Attack Speed: 0.677 +4% per level


Consume (Passive):

Cooldown: 10 seconds (lowers with CDR); Range: 125 units

When Consume is readied, Nunu's next basic attack against a minion or monster will instead cause Willump to Consume it, dealing 200 - 800 (+100%AP) true damage and healing Nunu for 60 - 240 (+90%AP) health.

If a nearby epic monster is below 200 - 800 (+100%AP) health, then Willump will automatically Consume it regardless if Consume is ready or not.

Unrelenting Anger (Q):

Cooldown: 16/14.5/13/11.5/10 seconds; Cost: 80/90/100/110/120 mana; Range: 350 units

Nunu provokes Willump, causing to grow massive in size and gains 50/70/90/110/130(+140%AP) shield for 1.5 seconds and allows him to block enemy projectiles that get in his way. During this time, the next instance of champion damage that Nunu receives causes Willump to become outraged and lash out in anger, pummeling the ground near him for 100/140/180/220/260(+100%AP) physical damage and stunning for 1.75 seconds.

After 1.5 seconds, Willump will still pummel the area around him if he has yet to pummel the area around him, but only deals half damage.

Blood Boil (W):

Cooldown: 0.25 second; Cost: None; Range: 900 units

Nunu boils the blood of Willump and either the closest allied unit or the target allied unit for the next 6 seconds.

Willump's blood becomes heated, granting him 8/11/14/17/20(+10%AP) bonus magic damage on hit, 3/6/9/12/15%(+4% per 100AP) bonus attack speed, and 20/30/40/50/60(+30%AP) bonus ability power for every champion, including self, that has their blood boiled.

Allied champions receive 16/22/28/34/40(+20%AP) bonus magic damage on hit, 6/12/18/24/30%(+8% per 100AP) bonus attack speed, and 40/60/80/100/120(+60%AP) bonus ability power.

Passive: While Willump's blood is boiling, taking damage grants a stack of Rage, up to a maximum of 12 stacks, every allied champion that has their blood boiled causes Willump to receive 2 stacks of Rage. If Willump receives 12 stacks of Rage, then he enters Berserk while his blood is boiled, causing Nunu to lose control of Willump where he gains 50/55/60/65/70% bonus movement speed and automatically runs at the closest enemy to attack it, unable to cast spells and abilities during this time.

Snowball (E):

Cooldown: 6/5/4/3/2 seconds; Cost: 50/60/70/80/90 mana; Range: 1200 / 125 units

Nunu catapults a snowball through the air to land at the target location, dealing 70/90/110/130/150(+50%AP) magic damage and slowing struck enemies by 75% and attack speed by 25% for 1 second, 80% damage against minions.

Absolute Zero (R):

Cooldown: 120/100/80 seconds; Cost: 100 mana; Range: 700 units

Nunu channels in place for 3 seconds, zapping the area around him from heat and slowing nearby enemies by 60% - 99% based on how long Nunu has been channeling for and slowing their attack speed by 25%. The enemy team can always see the freezing cold area of Absolute Zero no matter what as long as an enemy champion is within 1000 range of it.

Once Nunu stops channeling, he deals between 80/110/140(+30%AP) to 650/900/1150(+250%AP) magic damage to nearby enemies based on how long the channel lasted for. If the channel was interrupted by an enemy, then Absolute Zero deals 15% less damage.
