Mapwide weather.
I had an idea for something unique which can be added to the game. Weather effects. How they work is every champion gains buffs or debuffs depending on their champion type and their location on the map. Mind you, there would be signals to let you know what type of weather is coming up, so that it's not entirely unknown if you will be buffed or debuffed immediately, and the effect would scale with its duration.
For example, in a thunderstorm all champions will be afflicted with a debuff called "conductor" occasionally dealing a flat amount of true damage to them and a reduced amount to anyone in a small area around them. Champions with more health are more likely to be hit than those with less health. However, the debuff applies to more people depending on how far apart they are. Meaning if your tank is top, and it's just you mid, your jungle is taking blue, the Adc is farming bot, and the supportis grabbing deep wards, everyone has a chance to be hit.
Another example, heavy rain. All champions are slowed if they aren't in the river. The slow scales with range, meaning melee champions might be slowed by 2% while a ranged one would be slowed by 7%. Walking in another champions path slows you 2x as much.
One more example, scorching. a healing is reduced by a small percent and damage dealt is increased by a small amount. The effect can be reduced by standing in the shade of terrain or an ally. The shade of allies effectiveness increases with their health and resists.
These are mostly just quick thoughts, but I think it would be cool to have a champion or game mode featured around a concept like this.
