A question for the league community

So this is hardly new news, but a week ago someone leaked the next upcoming skins, reworks, and new champs. People claim that it is both fake and legit. Honestly i could care less. But what caught my attention was the supposed "new champ." I have liked the idea of a duo/duel champ for some time now but the current examples don't do the idea any justice. Like kindred, kled and quinn. So my question is...

How on earth will this mechanic of a duel champion actually work in game?

From what i understand riot has tried this idea multiple times but it just doesnt work. Also from the "leaked" info the new champ is meant to be controlled by two players. If it is true or not i dont know but i personally like the freshness that new champs bring to the games and I have tried my hand at this idea but i want to see what the community thinks about it. Given that most of the comments in regards to the revealed info revolves around the skins mentioned.

P.S. i am also especially interested because we haven't had a new support champ in a while and the thought of this particular idea is a little too much for my unimaginative brain to handle.
