the Unfortunate Prodigy

Idea for a champion:

Slim could have the title of "Unfortunate Prodigy" or something similar Basically, he/she has a rare disease that is going to kill them early in life, and they're in their late teens or early 20s with very little life expectancy, which they don't find out until they've grown up a bit. However, growing up they were seen as a martial arts prodigy; they are unnaturally strong, learn fight styles easily, learning magic and shadow techniques easily, and at 12 develop their own fighting style using magic, ki, physical attacks, defeating nearly every opponent with ease [even defeating martial arts masters at 15]. They broke records and bones with equal ease, but look like they shouldn't be able to lift a 50 lb bag of sand. The "slim" Prodigy found out days before their 17th birthday that they had an incurable, extremely rare disease, and every doctor said similar things, "You wont make it to 30," "Lucky to live past 25," "Your strength wont wane, but your lifespan will," "Using magic is magnifying your symptoms greatly, so please avoid it."]

This shorter lifespan caused Slim to make a few decisions, one of them being to spend his remaining time on 1 thing: becoming the Greatest Warrior Ever. To that end, Slim avoids any romantic relationships, but celebrates the romance of others. When asked why Slim didn't want to embrace love instead of battle, Slim would always get sad, far away look in their eyes and refused to say anything more. Some still suspect Slim had only ever loved one childhood friend, who died in a rock slide with their family while Slim was only 11 years old. (reasons and the rest of the story can be filled in later, or edited based on suggestions)

Base Stats HP: 520 --------------------------------- growth stat: 18 hp per level HP at 18: 1,024 Regen: 5 per 5 seconds --- growth stat: 0.50 Mana: 250.4 ------------------------ growth stat: 27.2 Mana at 18: 740 Movespeed: 344 ---------------- growth stat: 6 Movespeed at 18: 452 Attack speed: 0.70 ------------ growth stat: 1 % Armor: 28 ----------------------------- growth stat: 1.8 Armor at 18: 60.4 Magic Resist: 31 ----------------- growth stat: 1 Magic Resist at 18: 49 AD: 65 ------------------------------------ growth stat: 5 AD at 18: 155

Abilities:

Passive: Weak Constitution ALL forms of life steal, spell vamp or similar things from items like Death's Dance & Hextech Gunblade, healing, shields, health regen are all reduced by 50 %. [this includes base regen stats from items; lifesteal, shields, healing boosts, healing from abilities, or similar things from runes; active items; summoner spells; and ally abilities, items including health potions, summoner spells] Using magic has a very negative affect on Slim, reducing his base health regen by 1 per 5 seconds for every 10 AP he has, but also grants him 5 bonus AD for the same 10 AP.

Passive: Normal Physics Bonus Armor and Magic resist weighs down Slim and lowers their movespeed, slowing for 10 % of both [does not affect attack speed]. For example: 100 armor takes 10 movespeed and 50 magic resist takes 5 movespeed, for a total movespeed reduction of 15.

Q: What Hit Me? ------------- mana cost: 30/35/40/45/50 --------------- Cooldown: 5 seconds at all levels Slim focuses their strength concentration into one empowered auto attack, dealing 35/55/80/110/145 base dmg + 70/102.5/135/167.5/200 % Total AD as attack damage. This has the same chance to Critically Strike as any other auto attack. If this kills the target, the CD is reset and the mana cost is reduced to 20 at all levels, for the next 3 seconds. If the next target is killed with the reduced cost Q, the CD is reset again, the mana cost remaining 20, repeating continuously, until Slim's mana is gone or there are no more opponents. Teemo

W: Light Feet -------------------- No Mana Cost ----------------------------------------- Cooldown: 17 seconds at all levels Slim instantly leaps to another nearby location, dodges any auto attack for 3 seconds, and his next auto attack deals an extra 90/95/100/105/110. Range 600. W Passive: Precision Gives Slim 10/15/20/25/30 % total AD for his careful hits and measured movements, but bonus Attack Speed reduces this bonus and even reduces base AD with a "precise" ratio of 1 % for 1 %, meaning 20 % of bonus Attack Speed removes this level 1 bonus (since the auto attacks would be faster and less "precise.") Anything that slows Slim's attack speed raises this base AD in the same way. Base attack speed growth does not affect this, but runes do.

E: No Equal ----------------------- mana cost: 70/80/90/100/110 ---------- Cooldown: 15/14/13/12/11 seconds Using magic, Slim launches a ranged attack that reduces his target's AD & AP by 10/20/30/40/50 % for 4 seconds, and deals 40/50/60/70/80 base dmg + 150/175/200/225/250% bonus AD + 100% AP as attack damage. Range 950.

R: Absolute Victory --------- mana cost 100/110/120 ---------------------- Cooldown: 120/100/80 seconds Slim decides to finish off an enemy champ and cripples them to secure victory, knocking them up and slowing them by 30 % for 6 seconds after they land, dealing 150/275/350 base dmg + 200/250/300 % bonus AD + 100 % AP. If both survive the 6 second slow, Slim's bonus AD is increased by 40% for the next auto or damaging ability. Range: 100. R Passive: Flimsy Ego If Slim kills any champ, then they have a bonus 40 AD for 10 seconds [does not stack]. However, if Slim fails to kill the Ultimate target, then they lose spirit and 50 % total AD.

In tournaments, battlefields, funerals, or weddings Slim is always seen as a bald, dark skin person clad in white plain martial arts shirt and pants, adorned with only 1 symbol: a large black fist in a circle on his back. Slim is said to refer to it as _"a symbol of victory in battle" that he is proud to display. _ One of his most common sayings is "No matter how hard they try, they will not succeed before me." Only slightly less common is the phrase "To help others is to help oneself." These reflect his abundant pride in battle, and generous spirit in life.

Though the numbers most certainly require some balancing. I enjoy the complexity of this champion. I am seeing some seriously contradictory statements here though. There needs to be an expansion and definition to this champion. is he weak or is he strong? Clear some of this up and make clear solid statements.

I understand very well posting these bits of soul can be nerve-wracking. So I want you to know I am not saying this concept is bad in any way. It just needs defining in a few areas.

For me when I go to create something, a large portion of balancing ( the skills, the numbers, the champions purpose/attitude among many other things) comes from writing out the story of the champion. This provides a grounds in which the ideas might spar with each-other until the strongest ideas reach the top. Starting with their Bio/ Back story is in my opinion far more important than the skills and statistics. It is the story of an individual that inspires and the art with which you dictate their future.

I excitedly await the finalization of this concept. [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]
